Just had my first Astral Projection last night, scared the hell out of me. I wasn't scared from the sensation like me fading from my body and feeling tingly all over but I remembered about that movie Insidious so I immediately forced myself to return to my body. Before I did that I do remember I was having a dream, I was toward the "end" of the dream when I realized it was a dream so I became lucid(wasn't my first time becoming lucid). I remember feeling an intense sensation in my chest way more intense than any lucid dream sensation then immediately shooting upward then seeing myself fly through space(I could see stars in the distance). It was like I was video recording myself from a bit of distance behind(like 40 feet) flying straight. Any ideas on where I was? I could also control my my body that flying ahead of me. And, do I have any reason to be afraid of this? I also read a little on astral projection but not much, and me being launched into Astral Projection came from some kind of force from my chest.

Gratz on the OBE

it sounds like you have a few fear issues these will go with practice, you just need to get used to it
well done

Greetings dave2005 and welcome.
What is shown on tv and in movies hardly ever truly represents what happens during OBEs and astral projection. So don't allow theatrical films to scare you from exploring when out of body (or in dreams either for that matter).
So there is no real reason to be afraid while flying when out of body or in a dream. It will help to gain more control over those flights though. And that will likely come from more experience.

Hi,
Welcome to the pulse.
Why be scared?, you're looking at a mirror and saying ''BOO''.
Its you you're scared of.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.
