Hi all iv been checking the forum almost everyday for 3 months now but av never got around to registering well i av now and here i am so hi..

Before i go i was just wondering if anyone has ever spoken to a loved one who has passed away.If yes was it like speaking to them normally or are some things different..

After my dad passed I would have these dreams where he and I would be in a car driving and talking. (This never happened in real life so I knew it had to be a symbolic thing from my subconscious signifying transition and my need to communicate with him.)  So I chalked it up to 'normal part of the grieving process.'  Then a couple of years later I dreamed my dad was in our front porch, and I was in the doorway.  Instead of the normal 'front porch scenery' the front part where he was was foggy and went out forever, and behing the fog I could see a lot of my dead relatives (my great grandma, my grandparents from his side, and others I didn't know but knew were 'mine').  He told me to stay in the doorway, not to cross to where he was (very symbolic).  Then he told me how my cousin in Arizona would need me very soon and I had to go and help her out and I had to. It was very important.  I was baffled because I hadn't seen her in over 20 years.  I forgot about it, and like a month later I got a call from my long-lost-cousin- My aunt had just passed and she was distraught- had no family and would we go help her?  Well, it went without saying, my 2 brothers and I went and we helped her take care of things, and got to know her again- it was truly an amazing thing, not only because it let her know she had family she could rely on, but also because I got my cousin that I had missed for so many years back.  So this to me was proof positive that it wasn't just a dream, it was  a bona-fide visit.

ps. it was amazing because for many years my aunt & cousin had dissappeared (when I was 11-I'm 48) and no one in my side of the family knew where they were.
