Title: Hello, another newcomer here
Post by: Daftpanzer on April 22, 2010, 21:04:56
Well hello, I came across this site while doing research on OBE's and lucid dreaming. This looks like an interesting forum :)

I've gone through phases of having lucid dreams, but nothing really vivid and 'real', at least none that I can recall. Nothing beyond my usual level of dream imagery, which is only a little more than I can imagine while awake. I'm interested in having more 'real' lucid experiences, or projecting consciously from being awake. I may have had some OBE / projection experiences as a young child... Floating around the house at night, and seeing shadows come to life, trying to carry me away in fact... quite scary at that time, but I don't want to be stopped by silly fears of the unkown! I consider myself very open-minded and I do believe that there's a whole greater universe out there.

So far, from being awake, I get to the point where I feel small, like I'm not filling my physical body any more, but I also feel like I'm expanding... I'm sure you know what I mean! My mind is quiet. I then feel what I can only describe as rushes of energy. It feels great, and I'm sure its doing me some good, but I then have a sharp intake of breath or a muscle twitch, and that takes be back into being aware of my body... Not sure how to progress from there.

I'm reading up about all these methods, but I'm not sure that's the approach for me. It seems like we're all unique and need to find what works for us personally. IMO some of these methods seem like 'permission slips' that you give yourself, if you follow them you *believe* you will have success, and so maybe you do... I think believing it, giving ourselves permission, is maybe the hardest part!

Hi there!  Welcome to the Astral Pulse.  :)

A certain amount of belief is required to do this.
If you're lying there thinking this stuff is BS and it'll never work for you... then, guess what?  It will never work for you. ;)

How's your imagination?
I always point our new posters towards Frank's Phasing Resource (http://www.astralpulse.com/frankkepple.html) as I feel it's the best and easiest route to Projection success.

Although, in the end, you're right.  You just have to find the method/technique that works best for you.

Once again, welcome to the boards.

~Ryan :)

Hallo DaftPanzer
Welcome to Astral Pulse. Lucid dreams are potential gateways to OBEs. If a person becomes proficient in controlling their dreams and inducing lucid dreams then it Is possible to go from a lucid dream directly into an OBE. I have managed this transition several times.

Thanks alot :)

I guess in the lucid dreams I have, I don't try to get more aware etc because I think I'll just wake up instead, as has happened before. Its something I want to improve on though.

I think my imagination is pretty good. Im always daydreaming, I have a hard time watching films or reading books sometimes because I'll start creating my own scenarios in my head.

Thanks for pointing out the Frank Kepple Resource. Reading it now, looks interesting  8-)
