Hi everybody, glad I found your forum.
I've had lucid dreams and obe's since I was a kid, mainly false awakenings, sleep paralysis and nightmares.
Because I had them so regularly I always assumed that everybody had them.
Then I found books about Astral-travel and started to get some control over it. By then I was a teenager and I was so delighted about actively controlling these things that I started talking to my class-mates about it.
That's when I realized that I was pretty much alone with it, after the initial teasing and getting a nickname for being a weirdo I shut up and kept it to myself, lol.
I never met an active lucid dreamer in real life, (only once , but by then the guy had been scared and given up).
It's so good to see that here are lot's of people having these experiences!
I've got some stuff to share, even a couple of validations and premonitions, so I look very much forward to join into your discussions.

cheers  :-)

Hello Birdy!
I have been pursuing all things spiritual and especially lucid dreaming for some time now.
I haven't succeeded many times but I have had brief dreams in which i became lucid. I absolutely love it. I also have been trying to astral project but haven't come to a very successful one yet.
I look forward to talking with you.

Hey Birdy,

Welcome to the forums! I was an active OBE'er and LD'er as a child, and like you, I started keeping my experiences to myself after finding very few others have experienced anything like it, and many did consider such experiences 'weird'.
There is a waelth of knowledge here, and I look forward to your contributions :).

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yes, I found already heaps of good stuff in these forums, look forward to see more.
Especially the shared dream experiences and validations fascinate me.
The loneliness in the dream-world got sometimes too much for me, so I started to visit my
friends in a dream and tell them that we were dreaming. But they never remembered anything.
Then I started to look for other lucid dreamers or other conscious beings and I met a few, once
someone even told me a name and address, but they got garbled up when I woke.
(All I remembered was "Walter Yehoo or Jehu" and Switzerland)
So I won't give up on that one, and I still try to wake friends as well, I'm also going to try to find API
and get there at a time when someone is around...
And I'm still very far from being an accomplished dreamer, there is so much to learn,
well it's going to be lot's of fun with you guys anyway!
