Hi there! I'm so happy to be here, I stumbled on the forum a long time ago trying to sort out some of the astral experiences I've had and thought it was about time I joined.  I don't have anyone to really talk to about this stuff, most think I'm nuts. My first AP was an accident (after several years of trying), I was really trying to do self hypnosis , next thing I knew I was up, up, and away!  Quite a life changing event! Since then I've had a few different types of oobe's, some happen spontaniously and some I try for, all are amazing! The big one was the NDE I had this past summer, I've not been able to bring myself to talk about it quite yet, I don't think anyone would take it seriously...maybe this will be the place for it. 
I've really enjoyed reading about everyone's unique experiences here and have learned quite a bit.

Welcome, I'm new here too.
I think I have had a near death experience...while I was having surgery after birth complications, I was looking down at my body, I could see myself, and what they were doing to me. I also remember the weird cap of one of the doctors...very colorful and covered in animals.
