Title: Hey everyone
Post by: Gödel on June 05, 2010, 22:46:31
I've been into OOBEs for a year or so, I've had a couple of experiences but very short in length.

I'm from Portugal and I've been browsing this forum to find very good insight on the phenomena  :-)

So I hope that soon I'll share my experiences to get some feedback from you guys!

Just a quick question, my experiences seem to occur in a replica of my own house, but when I try to go outside it by flying out of the window somehow it ends them or I start dreaming without any self-awareness. Why do you think this happen?

Welcome.

One possibility that will be mentioned is that you're in a RTZ projection and you fall into and illusion trap.

something like that.

but honestly, i don't know.

i used to have the same thing happen.  i still always go OOB into my room but now when i go out the window i wind up in a completely different place.

Yes, that's what happened to me.. RTZ Projection? Never heard of it, nor Illusion Trap =\

I'll search the forum for those concepts.

Thanks!

edit: Well, it wasn't RTZ projection because I actually met other people I didn't know in my house and when it didn't happen the light inside the house was darker or lighter than at the time of the day I was projecting.

Welcome to Astral Pulse, Godel.

My guess would be that the act of flying is causing a shift into F2oC. In some cases, your sense of protective awareness is freaking out and ending the experience.

Thanks Chris! F2oC? Never heard of this, lol. Unbelievable how much I don't actually know. What you mean by my sense of protective awareness? I thought the experience ended because I was actually dreaming that stuff and my brain went out of data. x)

F2oC is something you'd really only pick up online, it's not really anywhere else but here.

I've read what F2oC is about. I don't think is that either because I was able to interact and open doors and walk... And it felt as I was actually on the physical body, but much lighter. I'll read the FAQ's section before asking a question next time. Thanks anyway!

Well, in F2oC you can interact with everything there. Things in F2oC can be as real and as solid as anything in the physical.

Hello Gödel, welcome the the AP.

If you have no problem opening doors, why not just open the front door and walk out?

Thanks Daniel! Good to be here.

Never occurred to me to open the door and get out on foot because I'm much more a fan of flying.

I often walk but I jump through doors and windows.

The one time I opened a door first I wound up in a very strange place.

Hum, interesting. So, you think that walking or flying could have the same outcome? If I try to get out the door probably it would end up the experience too?

As long as I jump through the object (door or window) it doesn't matter if I walk or fly.  It's just that last moment when I approach the door/window.  THen I have to dive through.

I haven't been able to dive into a mirror though.....don't know why.

I've had the same issue. Try approaching it backwards, or walking through the wall. Going from the inside to the outside always seems to trip me up, too for some reason.

I tried converting one of my lucid dreams once by taking a running dive into a projector screen... I remember clearly bouncing off the screen and the very solid wall behind it.  ROFL
