I joined Astral Viewers forum a few years ago under the name of Pac, but since then, after the forum closed down after unknown twists and turns of events I did try to keep active in other forums but they weren't the same as Astral Viewers. Summerland, a member of AV, created another OOBE website which did end up closing down I think. After a long time, I ended up joining 'Astral Void' forum which I have only recently became active again on it lately.

During all my time in these forums, I can say I have gained a lot of knowledge but still have room for more. Surprisingly, I've never joined this forum before - and if I did, I can't remember. I hope to achieve a few more goals and find my inner-self during the time I'm active on this forum and beyond. Life has been pretty busy lately, and I guess that's just another distraction. It seems that I get a sudden interest to try and explore my inner self, then there are months were I am head high in school work and in life as normal. I am moving into a cabin soon, so I won't be interrupting my family during early hours of the morning when 'experimenting'.

Can't wait to get back into it but I have a feeling I'll have to concur my old problems whilst trying to visit the astral. I have a big problem with setting my alarm, then I try to sleep but know I have to wake up at early hours of the morning and can not sleep because of that thought so I turn my alarm off. It is a very bad problem, and want to know if anyone has felt the same way or has done the same.

During the summer holidays, I'm hoping to visit our local 'Sensory Deprevation Tank' center in the city. I am guessing a lot of you guys would know what they are. Well known as 'float tanks' - I don't want to explain it because I don't have much knowledge on it myself so have some research on it ... pretty interesting stuff. Drugs have also crept into my life - marijuana. I'm also considering doing shrooms, or 'magic mushrooms'. A lot of my friends are experimenting with that and I want to hear all your opinions on that matter; might start a debate.

I hope to meet all you people eventually. Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to the Astral Pulse, astralbum!  :-)

Being here will probably "rehash" many of things you have already heard, but sometimes that's a good thing!  :-)

Distractions are just a part of life. But, you should always take some time for YOU. Even 20 minutes a day of "quiet time" helps greatly.

I don't use a alarm clock to awaken. I prefer to rely on my own "internal clock". When I used to use a Alarm clock, I would find myself awaking 5-10 minutes before it actually went off, lol. But, it was a good "back up" system.

I still have it on my "bucket list" to try one of those Sensory Deprivation Tanks. If they ever get one in my city, I shall definitely do it.

Drugs, don't need them. You already have the knowhow!

Lionheart, thanks for the welcome!

Exactly how do you set your 'internal clock', just quite curious.

If I have to wake up at 8 am tomorrow, I will focus on visually seeing those actual numbers on my clock, then hold onto that thought as I go to sleep. Now it's become automatic. Before I had to use some actual mental "affirmations" as well, like "I will wake up at 8:00, then I would visualize the numbers over and over again. Once in a while I would see the word "not". I then took that word, loaded it into a mental cannon and shot it against a brick wall, until I saw it wasn't an option any more.

I used to do door to door sales years ago and learned that you can "program" your mind for all kinds of goals in your life. You just have to have 100% faith in your ability. I learned that "cannon shooting" thing during that time, because many times when I would do a affirmation, the word "not" would show up. Once I mentally destroyed it, "not" was no longer an option!  :-)

I tried that method and set my 'internal clock' to 3:00AM, but I awoke at 3:30AM - half an hour out.

I didn't attempt to induce.

Not bad!  :-) You just need more practice!
