Hey guys and gals!~

As you probably know (or not) I'm new to the Astral Pulse. I just discovered astral projection last weekend. I'm 17 years old and I've always wanted to lucid dream since I was 14, but I never had the determination to keep practicing. Then just recently I discovered more about astral projection and I'm just like...this is something I need to do. I've always known about it since I discovered lucid dreams, but I never dove very far into it. It's really opened me up to a lot of different possibilities and learning experiences.

I'm going to talk about a controversial thing so I apologize if I offend someone. I stopped believing there is a god, deity or however you want to interpret it when I was 14. My family never really had a "religion" or hardly mentioned it. My view on it was that because "people" told us about these great beings and stories I concluded that most if not all of it was probably not true, or at least very exaggerated. I haven't read the Bible, but I figured that the book was written so long ago that many interpretations came out of it. How can I really tell what's true and what's false? Then some of you may argue, "well then what did create the world?" I would tell you, "I don't know, but what I do know is that no one has lived long enough to be able to tell me. Sometimes things are better left unknown." And then 3 years later, I have discovered astral projection. I did a lot of research on the weekend, and I discovered a ton of things. The main thing is, "were some or even all religions created because of the astral world?" "Is there actually a deity or larger being(s) at work here?" "What answers can I find in this world?" I don't know, what do you guys think? There's probably more answers I want to try and answer but I can't remember atm.

The other things that interest me the most is healing, retrievals, and interacting with other astral beings (when I discovered astral sex I was like O.O. I think if I ever did manage to get out, I might have a hard time trying to contain myself lol). I don't know if this is possible yet, but I read that you can enter other people's dreams? If so I'm interested in entering people's dreams and trying to learn more about them. If I know the person I'm trying to learn more about I would want to get permission first. Entering without permission would feel like a total invasion of privacy. Or to see if they're having a bad time with a negative entity so I can help them out. I'm also interested in interacting with negative beings. I want to like go hunting to stop evil and save those who need it lol. I discovered "retrievals" too, but I haven't researched it that much yet. So far what I know is that you can retrieve people who need to move on (the deceased) and those in the lower astral planes. I would love to eventually be able to do something like that.

I pretty much tried to astral project and did research for almost the entire weekend (I know, I know, do your homework slacker!). Sadly, I won't have much time to practice because of school. When I first attempted it, man I never knew how hard it was to clear your mind and relax. My heart kept beating hard and fast, I kept needing to swallow, itch, and move. Thoughts went in and out like crazy. But after those 3 days I can say I've made a lot of progress. I can focus a loooot easier and faster now then on Friday. Last night was the closest I got to astral projecting (even though I was still far off, but progress is progress!). I ended up dozing off and waking back up. When that happened, my mind was really disoriented. I felt like I was about to fall asleep again. I kept trying to listen for a ringing sound in my ears, but I couldn't hear it. I ended up giving up after that.

I looked at the "How I got Out For the First Time" thread and tried to follow the instructions. It's hard to forget you're trying to project :(. I can hold the blackness state for a while with few thoughts, but I never see like flashes or thunder or something similar. Unless I just don't know what I'm looking for. I have a few questions about that, too. What does the ringing sound like? How disoriented should I expect to feel in order to hear it? How loud is it? Is it hard to notice for the first time? Or maybe I have heard it but very briefly. I know I heard some kind of sound. It was sort of loud and sounded kind've like binaural beats? I heard it several times in my attempts, but I have no idea if it was an outside sound, my imagination, or what I need to listen for. But if it was what I was listening for, how do I keep on listening for it? Because I would try and hold that state but the sound would disappear after mere seconds.

I think that's it for now. I also watched the Tom Campbell video, and it's pretty awesome. I look forward to a great astral experience in the years to come :). I think the best part about this discovery for me is that I can actually find out for myself, instead of just taking what other people say as real or w/e.

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot about this. I don't know when it was, sometime during my Freshman year, but I was able to induce sleep paralysis once by accident. I was on the bus going home from school. We have long bus rides at my school (Las Vegas Academy (LVA)), so I ended up curling up on the whole seat. It sounds weird as I'm writing this, but I think I focused on all the noise that was going on around me. I remember having pretty much 0 thoughts and I just stared into the darkness. Before I knew it I couldn't move, I couldn't control my breathing, and I couldn't open my eyes. My mind was fully aware. It didn't feel disoriented, just separated from my body. I became slightly scared. Actually, I was more afraid that I was going to miss my stop than not being able to move my body. I feel like I knew I would have control again eventually, it was just a matter of when. Sleep paralysis was also strangely calm. I think I would've enjoyed it if I wasn't worried about the bus. I don't know exactly how I regained control of my body, but by the time I did I was faaar away from where I needed to be. We take a random bus from LVA to a bus depot, then swap to our real bus. I fell asleep on the random bus. So I didn't get home until around 5pm I believe. I was supposed to get home at about 3:30pm.

Hello and Welcome to the Astral Pulse!

You will find many of your truths and questions answered in the non physical realms. You just have to be a good listener!

It seems like you share many of the goals that most of do here. Retrievals, healing, interacting with other Human/entities in the NPR make up a good part of things that you can learn to do there. It all starts with a focused mind and strong intent!  :-)

I think Tom Campbell is the one person that finally brought real meaning to me about the NPR. Many of the things he says, you can confirm for yourself in the NPR. The first time I saw a video from him, it blew my time. So did the next 20 ones after it!  :-D

Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)
