I got my username from another site about lucid dreams so I wouldn't have to make a new one, first off I've been meditating lately and been trying to attempt astral projection, it's hard because cars drive by my house frequently and my room has no door on it and I don't want to have to run around my house shutting the windows. But I am good at entering a passive state, and after relaxing and clearing my head for about 45min I used a method by bob peterson from one of his books, and visiualized a box floating above my head I was sopposed to feel like I was rising with the box, so I started to feel a bit of motion but I start shaking a little and I don't think there vibrations I mean it feels like my physical body is trying to rise, like the muscles feel a little shacky, it feels like its trying to brake me out of relaxation, and my heart does beat faster. My question is are these what I'm supposed to feel

Hey, DreamGod!

I think you should relax a little more before trying to exit, because the fact your muscles are tense means you haven't relaxed enough. Your heart might be beating faster because of excitement - or, it might even be not you physical heart but your hear chakra, so ignore the feeling, if I may say so.   Your sensations are quite normal, so don't worry.

I suggest you cover your ears with something, not to hear the noise - or, get up for a meditation very early, if you can, when there are no cars in the streets yet. Relax more. Stick with the technique you are using now, if you like it, I found it quite good (that's just my opinion    ).

This way you will be more likely to enter deep trance and sleep paralysis, from which it is easier to initiate projection.

I have a par of ear plugs up in my room but they just keep falling out of my ear, I thought about taking a piece of tape and covering my ear but I don't know if it would feel comfortable

Hi LucidDreamGod

You can get ear plugs made of wax that mould into the shape of your ear - they have no chance of falling out!

Anyway, welcome to the Forums  :welcome:

Have fun while you are here.
