I did my first astral projection last night. I was in my bed not even trying to AP, I was asleep and for no reason I woke about at about 3:30 in the morning, I let our dog out for a few minutes because he needed to pee and then went back to bed, only this time, I had a small lucid dream, as soon as I realized I was dreaming I woke up. On my way back to sleep I remember dreaming ( I think I was dreaming) and the fan above me was only about two feet away and had some strond wires hanging down. I remembered reading that a good way to lucid dream was to tabe a rope above your head and try to will yourself to climb the rope. So in this "Dream" I tried to reach and climb up the rope. At first my arms would barely respond to my commands, and eventually I started to climb it, I seen my hand (The spirit one) detach itself from my phsical one and pull me the rest of the way up and out of my body. As soon as I was detached I got freaked out and was so scared I started to scream, although I hardly made a sound. At this time I was back into my physical body. I was awake until about 6 AM because I couldn't go back to sleep because I kept picturing the rope again. I don't know why I was so scared of APing, I guess because this is the first time I REALLY KNEW that it was real. I was so scared last night, but tonight I'm going to try again.

Actually, Now I remember starting to scream only no sound came out and after that I was to scared to move.

Hi

Each step you take you make a path. Each time you tread this path it becomes more clear. Soon you will travelling many pathways. Enjoy these beginnings, you are in control and nothing else but your thoughts can create any fear.
Remember this on your journeys.

Welcome to the pulse.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Oh yeah! I recall that happening to me the first time I woke up from an AP while I was sleeping! It's really scary, but after a few seconds, you are able to move (and scream ) again and everything is all right. I think it's from trying to enter your body again too quickly. I wish I had advice on how to avoid this. I'm sure the transition will become more smooth over time. Gook luck.
