Greetings to you all.

I'm from the great wet PNW, and just recently developed a renewed interest in OBE. Some 20 years ago I had an experience that none of my friends believed. I left my body (admittedly very briefly, but enough to know it was quite real). I had never heard of astral projection before I experienced it.

Three of us had been traveling on a looong road trip and were tired after a day and a half nonstop driving. The hotel room was small, and I drew the short lot and got the floor. While I was lying on the floor, I felt odd vibrations in my feet, like electricity without the pain, except I was able to control it with my mind. I thought it might be the memory of the vibrations from the truck we were traveling in. Kind of like if you spend the day playing in the surf and you still feel like you are bobbing up and down for some time after you get out of the water.

Anyway, I let these vibrations move their way up my legs and body, and I would get scared, and it would start to go back down, and I'd calm down, realizing I could control it, and I would let it come back up again. I wanted to see what would happen. When it engulfed my head, I felt my upper body "fall" through the floor I was lying on. I could feel the carpet, the padding, the floorboards, the beams and all. That freaked me out and I bolted awake immediately.

My traveling companions were not impressed that I had just awakened them from their sleep.

Since that day, I have known that OBE is a a real phenomenon, but have never been able to reproduce what I experienced that night. Now, all these years later, and with access to the Internet, I have a renewed interest in making this happen again.

Any help along the way would be much appreciated.

It's frustrating, having tasted the reality of this, yet the followup proving to be difficult.  But...knowing it's there and finding gatherings of like minded folks like this makes the pursuit worthwhile.

Yep.

Been practicing now for a week or so each night and morning. This morning, I was able to feel my hands get light and floaty, and then my feet and lower legs. It felt like they were "in space", while the rest of me was lying in bed, quite conscious as to what was going on. I could feel that the vibrations were really near, just off "in space" where part of me already was.

Now I know what I need to do.

I think. LOL

Thanks for the reply.
