Hello to my fellow astral travelers. I am an older woman with very old New England roots. I am a fairly new transplant to the mysterious mountains of West Virginia. Leaving my body is hard work and I frequently come back with a headache. I do wear glasses and when I leave my body I find, to my chagrin, that I am still nearsighted! I have tried ,unsuccessfully ,bringing simple things back with me as proof of my OBE experience. Once when I was outside I pulled up some grass and when I slowly entered my body I felt it dissolve in my hand the moment I opened my eyes. I guess going in a bank and grabbing all the dough is out of the question. Nah- I wouldn't even if I could.  I have also experienced dimension  shifts. I have experienced the strange quick travel through a tunnel and ending up in another room in another place in time. This was very disconcerting since I could still hear my family speaking in the other room and when I called they didn't hear me. For awhile I unintentionally haunted the old home where my grandmother (long deceased) lived. This stopped the day I surprised a bunch of people who had gathered in the dining room. I have encountered a creature or two during my travel, but I will share that some other time. Do any of you plan astral get togethers or meetings?

Greetings Moonstone and welcome, and Happy New Year
Bringing a physical object back from an OBE might be possible but it would be just about the hardest task imaginable. People can affect physical objects (especially electronic devices like tvs and radios) while out of body but returning back to the physical body with a physical object is going to be much too difficult for most people. But if you ever manage to do it then please let us know!  :-)

Hi and welcome to the pulse.
Look into travelling to astral pulse island. Eventually I will find it and leave a prominent marker hoping someone will find it.

Safe travels.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Thank you for the welcomes.  :-D  I don't think I will succeed at bringing back any physical object since I can't even manage grass- the green kind. LOL  Sometimes I will spot a paper with writing on it and think whoopie, maybe it's a number I can play on the lottery. Unfortunately I can't seem to read anything out of body. It's always gibberish. Oh well. Can anyone read things while having an OBE?

Greetings Moonstone and Happy New Year, the problem I find with reading anyting in the Astral is the image is only there briefly and then our mind takes over trying to decipher what it is that we saw. I would see letters on a paper or wall, but then my conscious mind would kidnap that image and make it look like what I would expect it to, instead of what it is. Hopefully that makes sense to you. Just like this spelling unit on this site always kidnaps the word have and makes it have. At least it does for me, or you start typing something in to Google and after 4 or 5 letters it starts to make up the word or title itself. That's very irritating.

Lionheart, That's interesting about the temporary placement of objects in the astral realm and how our minds take over the interpretations. However, I even have a problem reading writing in the realm where we exist -during an obe. I have had interesting experiences, but I will post them on the other format now that I have introduced myself. Thanks again everyone for the welcome. :-D

Hello! I'm new to the idea of astral projection! I do something like astral projection, but perhaps my view and most of everyone else's on this site differ. I joined the website today to see what I can learn about this stuff!

Lionheart is right--reading has proved very difficult for me. My mind is able to translate, but focusing on the activity is difficult. It's like I need glasses or I'm too tired to read, even though those answers aren't actually true. Every once in a while I have a good day and can read very quickly. Makes everything easier, of course! I have to have the right focus and state of mind and body for it, but I haven't figured out exactly how to recreate this "ideal atmosphere". True for a lot of things concerning projecting, I suppose!
