Hello from the Deep South

Hi everyone!

My name is Michael. I'm from Birmingham, Alabama, and I'm glad to be here. I found my way to this forum accidently and decided to sign up! I was googling around the internet a few days ago and stumbled upon a website published by a gypsy mystic named Allie Thiess. Her entire blog was about OBE sex experiences, which I had NEVER heard of in my life (I'm 40). I was fascinated by the blog for obvious reasons, but more than that, it brought back memories of my one and only out of body experience when I was a teen.

Back then, I was fascinated by meditation and astral travel, and ALMOST had an OBE one afternoon. I had been reading a book about astral projection for about a week. Then, one Sunday afternoon, I laid down for a nap. I awoke completely paralyzed, but fully aware, then began to feel like I was vibrating like mad! I began to slip out of my body to the left and the vibrations were so intense that I freaked out and fought it. I came back to my senses and gained control over my body again. WOW, what and experience! I immediately ran down to tell my mom and dad and sisters, but they all laughed at me.

So, that was it for astral projection - I never explored it again. I was kinda hurt by the response of my family so I didn't pursue it. Then, I ran into Allie's website and it brought back the excitement again. So, here I am some twenty odd years later - I would like to pursue this again. I look forward to exploring and learning and hope to learn from the people on this forum who have paved the way ahead of me. Looking forward to meeting all of you!
