Hello everyone, I'm hapdude (you can call me Hunter). Anyways I am newbie to all this considering I just found out about astral projection 2 weeks ago and I've been laying down and doing the relaxation phase for the last week and I have some simple questions.

Firstly what exactly does the vibration state feel like? I can feel a slight tingling in my fingers when I am fully relaxed, but this only feels like my hands are falling asleep.

My second question I have for now is: Is it normal to have a headache and to feel extremely tired after attempting to project? I have been wanting to project quite a bit so  I have been doing sessions for hours at a time throughout the day with only brief breaks in between and the last few days and I have been getting horrible headaches, I can normally stay up till midnight until I feel tired, but lately its hard for to stay up even till 11, I don't understand though how the this could make me so tired considering all I am doing is relaxing myself, so I guess it could be unrelated causes.

Any help is appreciated,
Hapdude

Welcome to the pulse, first, vibrations. It feels like how it's called pretty much. Feels like your body is vibrating. Second, it is normal. It's taking energy to be able to project. Try doing some energy work, it'll help out a lot.

Welcome Hunter.

Keep in mind that vibrations are not necessary for a projection. Some people feel them some don't. I have them in some projections and not in others. Projecting during the day is the most difficult way from my experience. You might have better luck trying techniques at night when your body is sufficiently relaxed. If your feeling strained and have a headache you are doing something wrong - the process should be effortless.

Check out the indirect techniques in this book which are easily done when waking up at night. http://www.scribd.com/doc/25845936/The-Matrix-is-Real-Hack-It-a-Practical-Guidebook

And start a dream journal if you haven't already!  8-)

a headache could be a block in energies. You project through the third eye, and if something is blocking it, a headache may occur. :]

It's an interesting theory but from my experience there is nothing to substantiate this.

Hi Hapdude,

Firstly, welcome to the Pulse.

Vibrations for me are a very distinctive feeling. It feels like someone has put me into a washing machine going down an elevator - feels like someone is trying to shake me clean out of my body.

Hope this helps,
Neil

Welcome Hapdude, you say that you have only been doing OBE's for 2 weeks now and yet you are putting hours of time into it. My suggestion is slow down and bit, start reading some books on OBE's (there's alot out there). The more research you do the more you are conditioning your mind. There are a number of techniques to be found on this site, written by people that have been practicing Astral Travel for years. I find the more I read, the easier it is to succeed.

Thanks for all the response's and welcomes everyone. I probably should limit myself to how long I attempt to astral project, It's just that I usually like to put a lot of time into something I want to do to get results as soon as possible, and it's kind of intimidating hearing from people that say they put months or even years of time just to be able to achieve one 30 second projection. Also, does using binaural or isochronic tones help any of you? I took a break from attempting astral project yesterday and just listened to one that was supposed to "open my chakra's".

Greetings Hunter!

Welcome to the Pulse.  :)

I am using Isochronic Tones right now, I listen to 30 mins, then when it's done I am ready to travel. The ones I listen to are DJ Vishnu's Meditation Series. Ryan here has a site that has really good Binaural Beats as well. I never use them while I am traveling, just to get to the entrance.
Good Luck Hunter!
