Merry meet, i'm lily, i'm an ecclectic witch, i've been studying and practicing astral projection for 2 years.  I also practice psychic work, magick spell work, and divination, lol... so I haven't mastered just one of them yet.  =P  I've been lucid dreaming my entire life.  I'm in college, so that takes up most of my time.  I lucid dream 3 times a week, when I'm not stressed out, and only once a month when i have exams and boy troubles, lol.  I keep my not so private dreams on my dream journal on my website:  http://www.myspace.com/lylak

I've conciously astral projected once.  I knew it was real, b/c my level of awareness was extremely high, and I felt like I was awake.  I practice mostly astral projection from lucid dreams, since I already have very high control in my lucid dreams.
This is how it happened my first time.  Once my dream became lucid, I focused on my body lying in my bed.  I then retained conciousness in 2 places at once.  I then tried to force my conciousness into my astral body lying on my bed without waking up fully... and when I tried to do this, my conciousness then split into 3 places at once, and I began to feel pain.  I don't think the pain was from what I was doing, but I believe the pain was from the fear of what I was doing, lol. =P  My astral body feel through the bed then, and I couldn't see, but I had awareness in it.  When I focused my conciousness more on the astral body than the other 2 bodies.. I began to see lots and lots of colors... I could see them 360 degrees all around me.  This shocked me!  I tried not to get too excited.  i tried to move around then, but I couldn't b/c I didn't have feet or hands.. I felt like I was just a sphere of conciousness stuck floating under my bed.  it felt really strange, and it still hurt, because I still had conciousness in my dream, and still had conciousness of my physical body lying on the bed.  Then all the colors transfered themselves to the back of my eyelid of my physical body, and the other conciousness's faded away.  I kept my eyes closed, because I was mad that the experience was over, I tried to get back into the experience, but it didn't work.  I was fully awake.

Well, this first experience of mine was very invigorated, intriguing, exciting, etc!!  I read some of your posts, and you all seem to practice obe's in practical applicable ways, and I hope to learn a lot here!!!  Can't wait to read your posts, and post more experiences iI have!

Hi lily moonsong

Nice name!  Great introduction and I hope to get to read some of your experiences not only on Myspace, but here too.

Hope you enjoy the site - if you have any questions, please ask.  However, a good place to start is at the Astral FAQs section.  :-)

Hi Lily,

I love your post.  It sounds as though you have things pretty much in hand there.  I wish I could say the same from my side. I have lucid dreams but they happen so infrequently that when they do happen I get too excited by the fact that I am there that I then forget to try projecting or doing anything else of significance other than running around prodding things and people to see if they can see me etc. I am sure that if I can increase the frequency of my dreams then the novelty will wear off enough for me to project.  Do you regularly project from Lucid dreams Lily?

lily moonsong

no, I don't get relaxed enough...that was the first and only time I have projected from a lucid dream.

although I have the feeeling of being in two places at once, one other time when I was younger... I was walking to the bathroom, with my eyes still closed. and I was still concious of being floating on a cloud with the power rangers in my dream.  It slowly faded away then.. and I opened my eyes like "cool!" hehe.
