Title: new member, saying hello/ talking about some of my first few attempts
Post by: gregus01 on September 05, 2012, 01:58:46
hey guys, hows everyone doing? just made my account, so i thought i would stop by and say hello.

so i'am really new to the astral projection concept and lucid dreaming, anyways... recently i really got into listening to hypnosis video's or audio tracks while going to sleep to help me relax.. then i discovered astral projection and i found it really fascinating!! however i haven't been able to have a successful projection yet. these are my attempts so far, let me know if im on the right track!

so my first attempt was actually the first time ever listening to a hypnosis for astral projection, i was laying down and i got really relaxed and then my body started to feel really energized and was tingling all over... however my heart started to race really fast when i started experiencing this weird feeling... so needless to say, it went away.:(

then a few days later i made another attempt on it, and this time i didnt really feel the weird tingling all over my body, however... im not too sure if i fell asleep or if i really obe. but i remember i was trying to imagine myself outside my body, then i think i blanked out... and i had a dream i was half sitting up but when i looked down my body was still laying down, or at least the legs were... i didnt get a chance to look around... once i seen my body was still underneath me i got excited or panic'd and woke up.

my third attempt last night before going to bed, i was actually listening to a youtube video with some type of music, the music made me feel like i was swaying back and forth so i tried to get into it as much as possible and after a few seconds or minutes of this swaying feeling my whole body did the weird feeling again... this time from the top of my head down, but i also felt kinda like it was making me sick too... or a weird weird feeling.. but after i started to get the weird feeling then i start thinking about that feeling and it ruins it.

im not too sure, what some of the normal feelings are.. however, i believe some call this the vibration state? this stage is what makes or breaks it right?

Greetings and welcome gregus01
Patience is the most important asset in trying to induce an OBE. Most people can Not get out of body during their first few weeks of efforts. It takes Most people a month or more before they achieve their first OBE. So try not to get discouraged if nothing happens for awhile and stay at it. Because continued effort is often rewarded with success!

Hi gregus01 and welcome to the forums.  Best time to practise is after about 6 hours' sleep. There are various versions of the technique, some involve getting out of bed for half an hour or so, going back to bed and snoozing for a while. When you wake up again you should find yourself in just about the correct mental/physical state to project. But there are many variations on this technique called "wake back to bed". Personally I skip the getting out of bed part. But there are many variations. Have fun!

Hello and Welcome to the Astral pulse! Everyone here has stated valid points. Like they say "practice makes perfect" and it takes a lot of practice to succeed here.
Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)
