Truth Seeking - Beyond the Physical

Hey all I dont want to give a long winded explanation as to why I am here, but in time ill write out my experiences, ill try be brief and on point!

Its been a long road of self discovery since an experience that happened to me in late October 09, changed my life forever. I have delved into physics, philosophy, consciousness, the brain etc, trying to conceive a plausable theory to explain what happened.

I was diagnosed with a heart murmur and allthough I didnt really feel like Id die, wonder took over to me as to what would happen if I should happen to pass. I had an interest in the unknown throughout my life and I think it was a combination of all this, and my past experiences, that caused what was about to happen to happen.

Ive experienced this feeling before, where I sat on my bed closing my eyes to meditate where my head feels like a bowl bein spun around and coming to an abrupt stop or another way to describe it, I felt bein sucked out of reality, or being disacociated from the physical. When this feeling occured before I automatically stopped it and changed positions so it wouldnt happen, but this time I let it play out.

I pretty much think I was out of body at this point.. What I see is the big bang, and all the stars and planets, all life emerging from it, and experiencing an overwhelming feeling of oneness. This is extremely difficult to put into words and theres alot more to it than that and when I have the time Ill post a more descriptive interpretation of what I saw.

As I was on the verge of enlightenment or being filled with knowledge, I entered hell! From what I recall Its a place where all the experiences of pain and suffering that has even been inflicted upon any living creature is experienced, and I mean everything. To try build a picture.. to give a less graphic example.. Imagine being pricked by a needle in your finger, and all the people who experienced that, all carried off into stages of this pain, in stages ranging from the lowest threshold of pain to the highest. And now try imagine this concept with every kind of pain and suffering experienced, all played out in stages for what looked like eternity. It was extremey frightening and I would say it would take alot these days for anything to surprise or startle me to this extent.

The beginning process of this 'hell' was the colours red and blue, merging into the other colours, varying in intensity where the most extreme is violet from what I remember.

The shock of it all brought me back to the physical, I was in shock, traumatised and fit for the mental asylum!

Since then its changed my perspective dramatically and its in a good way despite what happened. Ive really learned alot thus far in trying to figure out what exactly happened to me. My question would be did anyone here who has astral traveled witnessed anything like this or anyone in general I guess.

Thats pretty much a very short introduction.. if theres anything you dont understand, like my grammar or choice of words ill do my best to elaborate more. Im not a good communicator in getting across my ideas in general but I hope i built a good enough picture for now!

Thank u NoY.. indeed it is im looking forward to exploring it more.  Oh yeah that reminds me, allmost got out of body friday night. Ive been studying alot about astral projection in the last few weeks after my friend expressed an interest in it too, also felt more motivated because I became lucid in dreams momentarily before on maybe 2 occasions.

So I was totally relaxed, mind was clear, and I was just focusing on my breath getting deeper and deeper into relaxation allmost to the point where I felt like I was slipping out of gravity! Then intense vibrations surged through me an I knew I was on the verge of escaping the body, felt my chakras opening and everyhting it was amazing but my heart started palpitating like crazy, I dont know if the palpitations were that intense or that I was just more aware of it because my body was asleep but it was enough to bring me out of it.

I tried a couple if times since, where I could induce the vibrations in my legs, lower abdomen and slightly in my heart but cant go beyond that point.

But think im on the right path anyway

That was a very intense experience that you posted! It very well may have been an OBE/astral projection. Sometimes the most harrowing experiences actually help a person grow the most spiritually. I'm glad that you've joined this site and look forward to reading your posts in these forums.

Absolutely, it has helped me grow in so many levels. creatively with my music and opened up a new world unexplored for me. Up until the point of my experience I was searching for my way, and the road turned out to have met me and was the best experience of my life in the longrun regardless of the bad part! I consider myself reborn as of that moment!

Ill be posting fairly soon, theres so many interesting topics going on in the forums, im taking my time exploring!

Im glad I joined the site too,  now off to explore astral projection and hopefully build some astral perspective!
