Hi everyone, I don't think I ever posted a hello here but either way its been a while since I initially registered on the website. I guess I would consider myself more of a researcher than an actual projector since I have only come close to projecting consciously a few times but never actually had a FULL experience. I have felt the vibrations, heard the buzzing, had some manifestation side effects from partial exits, etc.

I have been reading about/researching OBE and lucid dreaming for probably over 20 years and consider myself much more successful at lucid dreaming, although it doesn't happen much anymore but I want to change that soon. I got frustrated at one point (with OBE) with getting so close but not actually being able to get out, and kind of put it aside. But no matter what, I always seem to come back to it later.. its like an obsession or calling that I have.

So while I have not just yet explored the astral consciously, I feel like I may be able to atleast help people out that are new to the subject with some of the info I have picked up over the years from books by Robert Bruce, Robert Monroe, along with info I have gotten from people on youtube and great people on here sharing their experiences. So hopefully I don't offend anyone by trying to chime in on threads with some of my third party knowledge.. I promise it is nothing crazy that would enrage everyone here like that you can die from projecting lol.

Anyway, I also was wondering if anyone else is from LA and knows of any group meetings that occur on these subjects.. I really feel a need to meet more people who are into this lately and don't really know how.

Both lucid dreaming and OBEs can be frustrating at times. They occur when you don't really need them and won't happen when you try to induce them. Eventually though patience and persistent pays off. Just be aware that it does take most people several months of effort before achieving their first OBE. (It took me about 6 months btw). It has taken some people as long as a year or more (and one person reported his first OBE after 6 years of trying!) So try to be patient and stay with it!

Hello and welcome Astral-Trea!

20 years? That's a good pedigree, and you will find yourself in good company here. I have always thought that lucid dreaming, astral projection, and out of the body experiences were different experiences, though related, but you will find that many people here consider these to be all basically the same experience. It's a debate (argument!) we have regularly. But I'm sure you will enjoy it. If you have been LDing for 20 years, you have much to contribute. Look forward to reading your posts!
