Hi Stacey,
Welcome to the Astral Pulse forums! [:)] Glad that you found us, and we'll look forward to your participation. You may have read Robert Bruce's book Astral Dynamics, if not, you may want to pick up a copy as I'm sure you would like it based on the experiences you've had.
While here, take some time to look at our File Library where we have some great eBooks and downloads. Also read over any previous posts on topics that interest you. You can use our search engine as well.
All the best,
It sounds like you were in sleep paralysis, if you want to OBE from there start doing deep breaths. You'll naturally separate and off you go!
Hi, My name is Stacey and I am sooo excited!
I have always been interested in this stuff, I read the Sylva mind control method and I have been a bit of a procrastinator due to very busy schedules, but I have tried the methods. I came across some literature on Astral Projection and Last night 05/27/2004 I tried to stay concious while falling asleep... I could not reproduce the images I read about so I decided to create images of my own,it is amazing what you can do by yourself. Anyway, I kept telling myself that I wanted to be awake in my mind while my body slept and although I only did this for a few minutes (I was really tired) I succeeded in being fully aware while I slept. I don't know if my physical eyes were open but I could see around and I could distinguish my position. Since this is the first time doing this (while wanting to, I have been in this state before but not voluntarily) I didn't get too far in the process (no OBE). But I did do a little test... I was aware of what was happening and I sleep next to my partner and I tried to see if I could wake her up while in this state, when I tried to speak (because I could not move) it was very difficult, it came out as tiny squeeks, I was using a lot of effort to produce these squeeks. I think it must have frightened me a bit because I was putting a lot of effort into it and maybe felt I had lost my voice, like when you are a kid and you have these experiences and you think you are really mute and paralyzed. After I tried to speak I just went blank and next thing I remember is waking up when my two week old son started crying.
I cannot wait to do this again, I will focus on moving my arm this time. It is a lot of fun and I am finding there is more to our existance than meets our eyes.
