I hope you find them interesting.

I do hope I get some imput on this. I am curious as to how realistic the effects can be (from the articles it sounds pretty real) and would like to try it out myself...so if any of you out there have a background in hypnosis, I wouldn't mind being your guinea pig. [:)]

Another thing worth mentioning:

Some of the articles discuss the concept of a "hidden observer" in hypnosis. For example, the hypnotised subject with hypntic blindness could have an object placed in front of him/her. Whilst hypnotised, she/he will say he/she can't see it, but when asked after being un-hypnotised, she will somehow remember what the object was.

Perhaps this "Hidden observer" is exactly the same as the etherial body; the one that comes out during an OBE.

Hi guys,

This is a subject I am truly fascinated with:

Ever hear of hypnotic blindness? Hypnotic deafness? According to what I saw a long time ago on TV, and have read recently on the web, dramatic effects can be simulated under hypnosis.

I have been desperately seeking a video copy of a show I saw on TV back in the 80s...I could have sworn it was 3-2-1 Contact, but it could have been a different show...

I seem to remember her having pronounced breathing,
like she's breathing heavily. You see a closeup of her face, she blinks, then everything goes dark. Then somebody leads her around a hallway or room by the hand and she feels her way around. At some point they unhypnotise her, of course.

Does anybody have this? (Or anything similar)...I have a massive list of things to trade for it.

Has anybody taken part in any of these types of experiments? If so, what was it like?

Here are some web articles which mention/discuss the topic:

I'm curious to know what it would be like to experience this phenomenon (obviously the effect is reversed at the end of the experiment; someone on another forum thought I meant a permanent effect! LOL)
