Title: A Ghost Ransacking my room? (poltergiest?)
Post by: Mirador on July 19, 2003, 07:37:15
SilverSlider,

Obviously someone came into your room while you where asleep. Who ever it was, was looking for something in your room or drawer (is there anything missing?). The spot on the floor suggest someone drugged you, by pouring a sleep inducing drug on a cloth or something and holding it up to your nostrils. This situation is more common than you think.

Well, I'm basicall wondering if this is characteristic of a ghost at all. I have asked a few of my friends, some of whom are extremely smart and they can't come up with anything. All the doors were locked, I was the only one home in my basement room (even more peculiar - that they would target my room then take nothing (which answers your question; nothing is missing)). I was probably inaccurate with my "ransacking" claim, because it looks more like my room is just kinda messy, like a few things got knocked over and a few things are moved, but its unusual for my room. The water spot is most controversial piece of evidence. There is almost no reason why someone who would break into my house and rough up my room, would leave a perfectly circular spot of colorless and odorless liquid on my floor. I would really appreciate some thoughts....Thanks

I don't know.  It's possible.  I have all kinds of odd things happen to me.  Things being moved, sounds, things falling, ect.  Some times when awake some times when asleep.  However, one such occurance is not much to worry about.  I would not give it too much thought unless it continues.

Of course the focus could be some thing else.  Not the spot, or the dresser.  Have you taken a look at the section of wall it was in front of?

That being said.  A small continuance.

Why ghost do some of the things they do.

I thought the same thing about the downstairs room in my family's house. I'm the only one who uses it, because there isn't any air conditioning down there, and everyone else is, well, fatter than I am.

Anyways, I would leave stuff down there, the next day, it was all thrown on the floor, and scattered around.

Then I realized "hey... I have five cats. Duh. They love destroying stuff."

After that, I cleaned up the room. Nothing to be thrown around, now.

Mirador? Uh... if they drugged him, and left some liquid on the floor, why is it odorless? If he sniffed it, don't you think he would have been knocked, and wondering why he suddenly woke up at five? eh?

There is also the possibly of spontaneous telekinetic subconcious use moving everything around. I have met people that claim they had to pay for crap in department stores that fell and broke when they were half way across the room and the only one in there. Its a VERY BIG LONG SHOT, but it is possible.

It could possibly be a ghost but something to try, leave a peice of tape on your door near the top , regardless that its locked. If the tape is broken the next morning, then someone came in and kicked the lock somehow.

Another idea is to use a small video camera in a drawer half open, slightly angled on a book to see if you can capture anyone/thing moving your stuff.

One guy found out his poltergiest was a raccoon that got in through his window that was left half cracked. But then again, can't be that because some heavy stuff was moved.

Meh, my 2cents, lata :-D

I don't know if this topic fits here but it is possibly metaphysical and there is lot of traffic here so I thought I could probably get some good responses. Last night I came home late and went to bed like normal, but I woke up in the morning and walked to the bathroom but I stepped on something wet, so I went a turned on the light to look at it. I realize that my bedside dresser is moved, everything is knocked off of it, my books are knocked over and there is a drawer open of my dresser with a few things in it that were on my dresser. In the nearly center of my room (off by about 4" due to my measurements) there is a perfect circle of some liquid on the carpet (not urine (it was colorless and odorless)). I am pretty sure nobody in my family would do this and I asked if anyone did and they all denied it. I didn't have anyone over. There are no explanations but a ghost or something along those lines. Does this sound reasonable or what's going on here? I'm kinda freaked out. Thanks
