I believe I have encountered elementals a few times, though I could not see them, just feel strongly the presence. They seem to fly/play around me, gives me an immense sence of joy/love, quite mind blowing and some of my fondest memories. When I get out of body....I will find them!
I say they were elementals, but really I do not know, I used to think they were water ones, but I suppose they could have been air. In my minds eye I saw a beutiful creature, female, blue translucent, just like what I would assume an undine to look like so maybe I was just making it up, though I suspect someone like Bruce Moen could strongly argue that what I saw/imagined was real. btw I am a primarily an airy person, but strongly water also (very very little fire, some earth but not balanced yet, probably cos fire is not strong enough, earth being a combination of the 3 etc etc).
These experiences sometimes come when I am reading up on elementals, making my mind very receptive, also I may have felt some out in nature but never anything personal, and once I prayed to Mother Earth to send help for a nasty chakra problem I was experiencing, another undine I think.
Occasionally when out on long walks in the hills (with parents), I allow my mind to put me into the mindframe of an elemental creature, and walk as they do. I may have been helped at times like this, but again, pretty powerful changes caused in me, though I cannot say the strongest experience caused such high/good emotional feelings (afterwards I felt I may even have turned slightly viscious, sharp), strange but very interesting.

So what have you experienced?

Hi Inguma, thanks for you kind response! i'm glad that you also had shared your experience with me. thank you! it's wonderful to see that i'm not the only one here who has seen them! -warm smile-

well, most of my experiences with elementals and the fae i've had were whenever i was a young child, especially around the age of eight. on both sides of our house, were two large and open fields that were filled with tons of clovers and wild flowers and weeds that made them look really beautiful. all of these wild plants seemed to also attract a large variety of wildlife but mostly just butterflies and insects.

in describing the fields that were nearby our house to you, i will now disclose an experience with some faeries that i once had that i can never seem to forget that still continues to touch my heart to this very day! it was a warm sunny and summer's day and i decided to take my little wooden bug box with me to go into the right wild field to look around in the weeds to watch the insects that were there, especially the butterflies. not too long did i seem to notice before i had really entered into the field and spot three very unusually behaving monarch butterflies who were flying together in the air in a horizontal pattern! i quickly went up to one to capture it into my bug box so i could go show my mother it. i went into the house to show her and she like it of course.

after a very short while in having this beautiful butterfly captured and cooped up into the little bug box, an overwhelming feeling of sadness and compassion came over me. i was able to feel these very feelings coming from this butterfly i had in the bug box! i kept looking at her and felt very sorry for doing this to her. it made me feel really sad for her too.

so, i quickly went back outside to let her go back to fly with her other two friends she originally was with before i had caught her. the other two she was flying with were still in the same place! i quickly let her go and instantly went back to her friends. i then felt a very wonderful and happy feeling deep inside of my heart that very well may have been coming from me letting her go. she and her other two friends just continued to stay flying there in front of me in a neat horizontal row fluttering in happy union to thank me for feeling love and compassionate enough to let her go to be together again with her friends.

i believe that these three butterflies were fairies who came from the right field near our house, and the one who i had captured was very special, as she had taught me to be more loving and compassionate for her as well as any insect or animal who i may ever come into contact with for the rest of my life. this is really how we all should be, more loving and caring about not only insects and animals, but other people who live around us too. so, i feel that even the most simple elemental or fairie knows of love, and even they are important enough to help teach us valuable lessons in our life! -warm smile-

hi again inguma. i'm sure that elementals and the faeries are able to somehow tap into our minds telepathically, and they seem to do this by tapping into our feelings and emotions. by doing this, that is how we can know what they're trying to say to us, but touching our minds and hearts by using feeling and emotion to speak to us. that is just a thought that i felt should be included here, as you said that you strongly had felt their presence and have felt a great sense of joy and love. even though they are simple, it just goes to show that even the most elemental being knows of love! -warm smile-

well, you said that you may be imagining them, especially after you have read about them in a book.......yes, there always is of course, that possibility, but one must really ask themself, is this so? am i just making them up? what does your heart and intuition tell you? does it say that they are only your imagination, or does your heart tell you differently? i know what i had seen and felt with the three monarch butterflies whenever i was a child with my own two eyes. i not only felt a great sense of love, i was taught to be more loving and compassionate toward other living creatures in our wonderful world! and, i am very thankful for this experience too! i even had for some reason, called this butterfly Honey in relation to flowers, and she responded to me calling her that too. now i'm wondering if i was also able to pick up on her name? -warm smile-

now, you said that you saw what appeared to be an undine, right? since elementals and faeries are nothing more than little balls of light and energy, maybe however you personally felt an undine looked like is how it chose to appear to you so you would recognize it and wasn't necessarily -just- you imagination....... -smile-

you also said that you had called one to help you out with a problem that you were having with one of your chakras......i've never heard of asking one to help one to do that before, but i'm sure it could be done! that's quite an interesting way to ask one for help indeed!
-wink and a smile- i personally don't really know what the real purpose of elementals and fairies are, but i'm sure that they can help us when asked to. i see them as being more on the happy and playful side if anything and they can be wise and i'm also sure that they can help teach us little lessons on the side too if they choose to. -smile-

I had a strange and wonderful experience a few days ago thought I'd share here, as if I remember correctly some questions have been asked about nature spirits and elementals recently. However, this will probably ask more questions than it will answer.

I did a 5 hour trance meditation, starting at 11am, sitting in my office chair as I usually do. I had many OBE's and lucid dreams during this time, but an hour before the end I developed unusually strong astral sight with great clarity of perception. This is not like the usual real-time astral sight where I see other projectors and etc, but full astral sight where I am seeing into the high astral planes clearly. As you know, the astral light is bright and clear, far clearer than the light we have in this physical world. Everything is bright and vivid and colourful in the extreme, far more real and alive than here in the physical world.

NB: please keep in mind as you read on, that I am using at least 3 sets of eyes here, and 3 or more different levels of sight, including normal physical sight. I spent a considerable amount of time experimenting and switching between these during this experience. Of them all, physical sight was the most difficult to achieve while still holding my deep level of trance and astral sight.

I was sitting at my desk, in front of my computer, where I usually meditate from. My astral eyes opened and I could see the room around me very clearly, more clearly in fact than in normal life. I seemed to have a pair of astral eyelids that I could open and close on multiple levels of the astral. I could also close them and see inside my minds eye, or open them and see the astral copy of the room around me. This was a bit confusing, but I am getting used to it and plan to experiment with it more in the near future.

First I noticed whisps of pale smoke hanging in the air around me, about head high, with astral sight. I thought there might be a fire, but sniffed the air and did not smell smoke. I opened my real physical eyes for a moment, and saw no smoke, so I knew that what I thought was smoke was in the astral around me.

I focused on one of the whisps of smoke and it changed into a small being, sort of unfolded itself. It had a face about the size of a tennis ball, with arms and legs streaming to a point of whispy smoke -- meaning the being was teardrop shaped. It maintained a dense smoke-like appearance, but I could clearly see its features, eyes and mouth, etc. It seemed to smile at me, or at least give me a friendly look, and then many other similar beings grew from the other whisps of smoke that hung in the air around me.

Intuitively, I thought these small beings were Sylphs, air spirits of some kind. I feel I have seen this type of being before, but have no idea where or when; a distant memory.

The sylphs surrounded me and then transported my astral body to an astral location far away. They flew me to a grassy clearing amidst massive trees in a beautiful astral forrest. Before me was a huge hollow stump protruding from the ground, like a wooden cave entrance. This cleaing had a magickal quality to it that is hard to describe. Out of this stump climbed a large being. It was humanoid, with an angular and almost square or hexagonal shaped head. It had long arms and legs and was covered in dense, short, light brown fur, with lighter patches here and there and some speckling and banding in light grey. Its body looked like that of a large spider monkey or sloth.

The being felt ancient and intelligent and powerful to my senses, although it appeared young and perfect. It was a very clean and neat looking being, well groomed. The thought went through my head that this being ruled all nature spirits, and was some kind of deity. I felt inhuman intelligence with cool kindness and curiosity emmanating from this being, and I responded with similar albeit slightly more-human feelings. It stood before me and looked at me, but did not speak. It seemed curious about me and I can only think that it sent the little spirits to bring me before it so it could examine me. Maybe what I had been doing, penetrating high astral realms in a powerful way, had attracted its attention. Then it waved its hand, like a command, and the small spirits carried me up into the sky, through many clouds and lots of blue sky, and showed me a great many high places. I had the feeling they were showing me their world, an airy domain of high places and clean air.

Eventually, the little sylphs left me and I found myself hanging in midair in a very high place, with nothing but blue sky around me. I could not see any ground. I think the skyblue colour may relate to the astral plane I was on, rather than actual sky. Then a thought came to me, almost like a telepathic suggestion, and I said respectfully and powerfully: "Paralda, Paralda, Paralda, King of the Air, may your servants cleanse me!" Immediately I felt a powerful force take hold of me and my arms forced to raise out to my sides. I felt transfixed hanging in midair with my arms wide, with a great power flowing through and around me. After several minutes I was let go and was transported back to my office; or so I thought.

I found myself in what seemed to be a different house, and several people (or spirits) appeared around me, one at a time. Some were dirty and shady looking and I immediately disliked them, sensing they were evil, and some I was not sure about. One was dressed in a clean suit and tie, but I did not like the feel of him. I invoked my sword and when it's blade burst into flame, I used it to draw banishment pentagrams and banished each of them. Better to be safe than sorry, methinks. After this I felt for my body and found myself back in my office chair. I had not fallen asleep, as I was still in deep trance and full of energy, with no reside of sleep.

I do not know what the above means yet, but hope to find out more in the coming months. "

ps, compared with the astral planes, above the second astral plane anyway, the physical world we live in seems dim and slow and weak. The light is so much brighter and the energy is so much stronger in the Astral than it is down here. These poor tools I have of words fail me utterly when I attempt to describe it. I'll try and write a poem to express it. When I come back to my body after a high astral OBE, its like arriving in a shadowy half-dead world compared to the high astral. The spirit worlds are also generally very bright, high energy places. I look forward to starting an intensive exploration of the astral, beginning next year, with great interest and enthusiasm. I may run a weekly journal and post it on the forum and website. RB. "

That recounting of Robert's adventures in the high Astral was awesome - thanks very much for sharing that with us  I certainly look forward to more of the same!

As for the Fae folk - I saw an absolutely amazing photo last year on the Internet of a Faery, that someone bought to my attention. I can't find it again now though unfortunately. It was a definite and distinct Faery image caught on a digital camera hovering in a passive sort of way, just above a small baby who was being photographed. It was extremely clear, and the fiery aura of the Faery was very pronounced as were her wings. I can't be absolutely sure it was a Faery of course not being that familiar with them, but it is difficult to see what else it could have been - it had the classic Faery appearance in every way.

Digital photography seems to pick up these Astral images whereas conventional film does not.

if you ever come across that amazing photo that you saw last year of a faery from the internet, please do post the link on here if you ever find it! i'd love to see it! if it was by a baby boy, then maybe the baby was attracting the fae's attention? sometimes i wonder if certain faeries and elementals choose to hang around children because of their open hearts and innocense. and, because of the child's innocense, maybe they even somewhat protect the child. i believe for a short while before i hit the age of 12 i had a faerie hang around and possibly protect me, so that's why i'm suggesting that here.

many people over the years have been able to photograph faeries, ufos and the such including ghosts and balls of light according to websites such as Art Bell that's full of these kinds of photos and t.v. shows like Sightings and so on....but.....why can't our own
-physical- eyes just pick up on seeing them this way as easily??? maybe we have to somehow learn how to -disfocus- our eyes to do this, as i've heard that that's how some others have been able to view different people's auras........

Hubby and I saw a fairy, plain as day, in our garden at night about a year or two ago. She was about a foot tall, in beautiful gowns, and "appeared:" in full detail in the water reflections of the leaves, all sparkly and magical. We went back later, and she was "gone" and it just seemed too random the odds of nature producing something like this in such detail! It was awesome!

I have also had experiences with spirits in candle flames, and clouds.... Here's a poem I wrote years ago:

Your posts, complete with winks and smiles etc....your turn of phrase, vocabulary, grammar etc...are identical to Kim/ Astral Galaxy on the other forum. Have you ever considered the subject of parallel lives? It is really fascinating.You should look up the old postings of Kim/AG. I think you would be truly astonished at how similar the posts are.I am interested in parallel lives and forever seeking evidence of them so I'd be interested to hear what you think after you read them. They're still accessible.Wouldn't it be exciting if you discovered one of your parallel selves? I have only met two people who have succeeded in this so far.    Love Jo.

I like your name too! -wink- yes, my posts are indeed quite similar to hers! i do kind of admire how she thought on the posts on Robert's old site. that's probably one of the reasons why i like writing like her. i don't think she'd really mind though. it's such a shame how i haven't really seen her posting as much as she once did on the other site. her and i do seem to really agree on much of the same theories and way of thinking in general. maybe that's why we also write so much alike? it sure is nice to see another Jo on here though! i don't know too many of them, but i do know that sometimes my father has called my mother Jo before too and that's kind of neat don't you think? -smile-

now you asked, have i ever considered the possibility of parallel lives? yes indeed i have! i've been told by some wise people before that not only are there parallel lives, we also have an infinite amount of bodies too other than just our physical, mental, spiritual, astral and etheric ones as i believe that Robert Bruce has mentioned there being. so, if we have an infinite amount of bodies that exist on multiple other levels of realms, then yes i'm certain that with this being known that there is that great possibility that we also have and can have a parallel life/lives!

i believe that i've been able to see my other dimensional bodies as well whenever i've been astral projecting many other times over the course of several years. a few times while astral projecting, i've been in two to three other places at the exact same time! i was viewing the projection with my physical mind's eye, my physical mind's eyes were viewing my astral and etheric body too. the astral and etheric bodies were both seen projecting by my physical mind's eyes. too bad my physical body couldn't just astral project into the astral realm too! now, that would be quite fun! -wink-

well, i have to leave for now. but i will say, yes, i do believe in parallel lives too for the two reasons that i've already mentioned before here as well as seeing and talking to and with my other bodies who were projecting together in the same plane on a few rare times before. did you ever see or meet up with any of your parallel bodies, especially during one of your astral projections? and yes, i believe that i've already met up with some of my parallel selves, and they probably were the two other bodies i've been seeing during my projections too! -warm smile to you-

Hiya Donni! thank you for sharing your experience with a faerie! aren't they beautiful? i'm glad that you and your friend were able to see her in such great detail too! some say that there isn't magick or spelled magic? in this world, but when it at least comes to seeing faeries and elementals and the such, i'd have to say yes there is! and, besides them, wouldn't we also consider -love- to be special and magical too? love is what makes the world go 'round as i've heard others say before, and can make things grow both physically and even spiritually! yes, there's magick-magic in our own physical world, but it all depends on what each person -thinks- magick/magic is. it's all different for others because we all may have different ideas on what magick/magic is.

i don't mind that your poem is nonsensical! i loved it! it was beautiful indeed! thanks for sharing that with us here too. yes, your poem reminds me of how carefree and happy faeries are and how they like to dance and just be happy and joyful. i sometimes wish that i could be more that way in the physical at times. at least one can be this way in their dreams as well as while astral projecting!

Anyway, how many kinds of elementals are there? I know it may sound silly, but in video games I play there's about eight kinds. Perhaps I'm simply gullable.....taaa!!

Hi Nate. i'm Jo. i also remember you and Kim talking about cats, but kind of vagely. i also love cats as well as other kinds of animals too. i'm a bit of a nature person if anything! -smile- so, i wouldn't mind talking to you about cats too! i'm sure that many people love them and think that they're special as we do. they do have many special qualities to them and so do dogs like i believe that AG had once mentioned before on Robert's older site. i really do wonder how many people own a cat or two anyway? i also have one and she's around 11 or 12 years old now! she is very beautiful and healthy as ever! a few times she really has been discouraging me because whenever i try to project or exit out of my body, she comes along and swats at me whenever i'm almost completely out and i jerk very violently right on back into my darned physical body! argh! why oh why??? -whine-

believe me, some of these kinds of beings can indeed look really frightening! i every so often have been seeing one that i believe may be some kind of air sylph or air elemental that sometimes goes on my ceiling fan inside of my bedroom! it somehow then enters into my dreams and it's form keeps fluctuating into other weird forms, but does manage to continue to keep it's overall basic form. it's main form has kind of an outline of the actual ceiling fan and appears to have bladed wings like my fan does too on its back. just about every single darned time he or it enters into my dreams, he frightens me! one of the main reasons is, because whenever he's or it's around, i become almost completely unable to move! i can't really figure out why that is??? all i do know is that in not being able to move i sometimes get so annoyed that i just wake back up into my body so i can move once again! i believe that maybe whenever i see this air elemental being i really am unable to move due to being partially in and out of my body, so, this makes me stuck and unable to move in a way. well, that's my guess! -smile-

well, how many elementals are there you asketh? i'm almost certain that there are basic kinds such as the ones who are associated with natural elements like Earth, air, fire and water. there probably are other kinds, and since these creatures are simple and are made up of light and energy, i'm sure that their forms that they can choose to appear to us in are unlimited and neverending! would you kindly mind telling me the other kinds that i haven't mentioned that are in your video game? i'd like to hear, even though it may be something imagined in a mere video game, you never know! one must remember.....elementals and faeries are simple and are made up of light and energy........so.........that means.......that they probably like to immatate others including on how one would perceive them to look like if one were to appear to us on the way we would think that they would look like. so, if we think that an elemental of water would be blue and hold a fish in its hand, then the little being probably would desire to immatate and appear to that person in that similar way. i bet it would do that just for the fun of it if anything. i'm also sure that some of them take interst in our reactions to them as well. -smile-

Hi again all. i know that this next question's a bit off of the subject here.........but.........how many of you are going to watch the 'ol Leprecahn movie this St. Patrick's Day? -laugher- where i live is going to show all 3 movies of the little guy in it, and on St. Patrick's Day too! does anyone else here have that option where you live too? has anyone ever seen any of those movies? i think that they're quite funny and twisted! now, that sure is a bad Leprecahn alright! i don't really think that i'd try to take his pot-'o-gold! no, not even one coin! i wouldn't to be on his list of enemies! he's kind of a version of the Chuckee movies, except Chuckee has turned into a Leprecahn! -now, here's a BIG laugh-a-roo here-

The other elementals beside the four we hear of so often are shades (darkness elemental) and Dryads(tree elemental). there are a few others in the games, but I don't think they're as trustworthy. Their names keep changing over the years, but the dryads and shades are always the same. If that makes them any more real I don't know, but that's their names. I'm hoping to get somewhat permanent astral or realtime vision so I can see all these guys..errr..beings. I live next to large forests and moutains complete with streams and rivers! Whenever I go for a walk I always see things out of the corner of my eye only to find that there's nothing there when I look. I figure with stuff like this happens full vision is right around the corner. maybe. that's about it for now! Taaaaa!!!

Hi again Nate! thanks for your reply and info.! yes, i also believe that there are shade or shadow elementals on ones who are also associated with trees! i once had taken a photo of around two strange lumps that were growing off of the trunk of a large old oak tree that i use to keep seeing while driving down this one road. there was three of them actually. one looked a bit mean or grumpy and had its eyes closed and had a large ram like horn on its head. the other one was growing nearby the larger grumpy looking one and looked like little chubby creatures that were growing together! there appeared to be two of the chubby creatures growing together on one another!

these tree nymphs or Dryads as you had said Nate are still there to this day i'm sure! they look so real and detailed! they are ancient little creatures and if anyone were to go down the road and see them growing on the tree's trunk, they probably would just say, ah, they're just bumps. well, i can easily see their faces and know that they're not just mere bumps! they even give off their own feel to them and personality from their faces too! now, that's neat indeed!

you are so lucky to be able to live near moutains, lakes and streams! they do tend to hang around and more out in the open in more so natural settings than man made ones! sometime when it becomes warmer, see if maybe you could try meditating to look around an area that you intuitively feel may be special to you or gives off a special feeling, especially an area that you may see these little flits of light out of the corner of your eye. ask during your meditation to see if there are any around and to see any of them who may be in the area you're meditating in. you may indeed see some then. they are cute little childish and curious little creatures! yes, even the most simple being such as an elemental or fairie have curiosity and even about us too! -smile-

well, you may think i'm nuts now, but i've read before to try meditating to see if you can see them as well as have been told to try this. this could also be a great way of developing your astral vision or sight too. i believe that meditating could help open the third eye more to overall allow the person to see what is normally hidden......... -smile- i know that whenever i meditate, and are doing this for around 20 mins., i start seeing lots of moving colors everywhere while my eyes are closed. then, after a short while, i still sit there and find out that these colors turn into many various things such as places and people! in meditating even further, i finally am in an entirely different environment and are either out of my body or are projecting my mind to the place i see! it's really very awesome! -smile-


The other elementals beside the four we hear of so often are shades (darkness elemental) and Dryads(tree elemental). there are a few others in the games, but I don't think they're as trustworthy. Their names keep changing over the years, but the dryads and shades are always the same. If that makes them any more real I don't know, but that's their names. I'm hoping to get somewhat permanent astral or realtime vision so I can see all these guys..errr..beings. I live next to large forests and moutains complete with streams and rivers! Whenever I go for a walk I always see things out of the corner of my eye only to find that there's nothing there when I look. I figure with stuff like this happens full vision is right around the corner. maybe. that's about it for now! Taaaaa!!!

One time I had a dream where i started to shift to the astral.  Suddenly I am before a portal that opens into the most beautiful nature area.  The swirling of clouds somehow intermingled with water and connected to areas of warm grass and shady forests. I bonked my head trying to go through.  No entrance allowed.  Still trying to find a way in, two beings appeared by me.  They were identical, blue, female beings (about half human size).  They escorted me back to the astral vicinity of my house.  They seemed nice enough.

The "doorway" was to the Summerland, I guess. Read Robert's description in AD. I agree with everything that he says about it.

Hi Reclining Orb. yes, i've also heard about Summerland Robert has discussed in his book and agree with most everything he's said in it too. i believe i've also been there a few times as well.

it also sounds like you had possibly traveled through one of the astral tunnels that he's also described in his book. do you remember seeing any colors inside of it? i've seen this as well a few very rare times. i had a projection several months ago and i was just standing slightly inside one and was fascinated by how beautiful the millions of different rainbowy swirling colors were being displayed inside of it. i knew it had lead to somewhere but didn't go all the way into it. i also don't recall hearing any humming or pitchy noises coming from it either...

enough on that already! so, ya bonked your head? that's terrible! maybe that really didn't happen and the two blue female beings you saw actually did to prevent you from entering into the place you were going to? i have a feeling that you might really not have been in Summerland and were possibly heading somewhere else and the blue females were actually the guardian of that portal and were not allowing you to pass into that place for some reason? just a thought...

well, thanks for sharing this with me! i'm happy to hear that you were so successful in having a projection. yes, you weren't in wanting to go into the place you had seen, but, at least you had a projection! don't feel bad! i've seen places i've wanted to go to before too and have been stopped from doing so as well. yes this is annoying, but maybe there are reasons beyond our understanding as to why we are not allowed to... ~smile~

Hi all. sometime this morning of Thurs. 4-18-02, i was lying on my back in my bed and saw a very strange small black and smiling energy being flying around in my room above me while using astral sight, of course. so, what in the?? i'm thinking this might just be some kind of elemental being if anything, and there are tons of tropical trees and plants in the house, but oddly enough, there aren't any in my bedroom though! the only plants i have in my room are three really small cactus's. i'm bringing up the plants because i've heard others before say that devas, nature spirits and possibly elementals live on them, so, did this funny looking black being come from one of my cactus's then, or, did it come from another tropical plant within the house? geez! i know this looks strange and you're probably thinking, ah, that's so funny she probably just made that up! no, i didn't make this up,
this is very close to what i saw!

i'd appreciate it if anyone knows what this little creature might be. my guess though is that it's some kind of elemental or nature spirit or something along those lines and came from one of the many tropical plants in the house...

i've attempted to attach a jpeg image of it for you to see on here as well...

i don't know if placing the image here worked or not...so, if anyone would like to see it, let me know and i'll just e-mail you it or PM you it as well...

Hi all. i would just like to include a little section here on the discussion about elementals and the fairie critters. has anyone here on the forum ever seen either an elemental or fairie while meditating, obe, astral projecting or maybe even whenever you were taken a little walk inside of a forest while you were awake? i'd love to hear about what you saw and had experienced while you were in their presence.

a bit later on i'll include some of what i've been experiencing with what i feel are some elementals that have been somehow entering into my dreams as well as obe or aps lately.
