Ouija and Talking Boards - What do you think?

I've been doing a lot of reading online about Ouija over the past few months and I've read nearly all the stories of people experiences.  What really surprises me it that over 90% of people experiences are negative...most are so scared off by a bad encounter that they'll never touch another talking board again!

Which make me wonder...just what is it about Ouija that causes so much negativity.

Some state it is purely psychological, and I agree somewhat.  But I have had many paranormal experiences that I know I didn't create with my mind.  I found that mentally I could control and predict what was going to be spelled out on the board and I could ask questions in my mind and they'd be answered on the board and this was with a group of 5 people so I couldn't have controlled the movement of the glass physically.  I was the only one who could do things mentally like this so it's a bit strange.  

Yet when I used to use Ouija alone it would just drain my energy so bad I'd almost collapse from exhaustion.  I stopped using the board a few years ago after I had absolutely no psychic or physical energy left and there was an attempted possession by a 'Jinn' that had deceived me into thinking he was good, my spirit guide.  It took about 3 months to feel human again after I stopped, I felt dead.  I was healed spiritually after a concerned Muslim friend taught me how to recite the first verse of the Qu'ran in Arabic, and I kept doing this until I felt awesome.  I did not convert though as I don't agree with religion.  

I'd like to hear other people opinions about these talking boards and if they think it is psychological or paranormal or a bit of both.  If you'd share your experiences here that's be awesome too!

Simple.
Too many times people use Ouija boards as a party trick, or get a group of people together with one. All it takes is for one of those people to have some negativity about them and the board, being a basic channeling tool, will be affected by those energies.

The founder of my spiritual college recently used a ouija board to channel some information with a close friend, and they got very positive results. The thing here is we are talking about highly experienced spiritual practitioners who set the intent for the board to be used for positive purposes only , and in a cleansed and protected (energy wise) environment.
In other words, people who know how to use one safely.

Ouija boards are a channeling tool, nothing more. Like any channeling tool, their effectiveness depends entirely on the energies of the user.

I was under the impression that if you asked an entity if they were "of the light" they were not able to lie. They could refrain from answering but could not say they were of the light when they were not. Anyone have any information to shed some light on this?

"of the light"? I  really dont think any of that stuff really would work. they too have a mind and I really doubt that anything else would prevent them from fooling you. James S is correct in what he said and is something that I do whenever I have to use the board to get information. don't just toy with it or with the spirit itself because this will only be damaging to the user. the best solution would be to avoid it all together and find other more useful things to do with your time.......like fly a kite

When I used the board alone, I would request only 'light' beings come to talk; but these ones would still proceed to drain all my energy which makes me think they might have not been of the light at all.  Most of the spirits are very deceitful and they lie about everything.  This may be because most of the spirits you talk to via the board are on the lower levels on the astral perhaps.

So many bad experiences happened when I used the board with my friends however.  I was friends with the goths and some had very negative attitudes; so I believe their energy would have influenced the entities that we contacted.  One of them said something bad to a spirit and he got pushed back real hard off the chair and he lifted up his shirt and had a big bruise of a hand print on his chest!  

One of them admitted to me that he wanted to summon evil entities, which is why the Jinn came through, he is the only one who I could contact on the board from then on.  The Jinn threatened to kill me numerous times so I stopped using these boards about 4 years ago now.

It may sound strange but I am actually thankful that the Jinn (demon) threatened me because after this I now live my life as a Light-worker and refuse to succumb to negativity.  My Ouija experiences have changed me so much as a person that I am absolutely amazed and feel so awesome.
So although my experiences were plenty negative at the time, in the end it ended up being something positive!

Well I've been playing with them for years and have never had any problems   To me they are like any other divinatory method if you think results may possibly come from malevolent entities then don't use it until you are confident that's not the case. Some people think all divinations are evil and the work of the devil   So find something that works for you and stick with it ... I'm still rather fond of my oija board

Yes, this is from a book, "The Nature of Reality", which has been out of print for over a decade now.

The source is Hilarion, who through channeler Maurice B Cooke, had written a series of books, one of which was "The Nature of Reality".

Maurice B Cooke has gone into retirement, but Hilarion is today being actively channeled by Jon C Fox, who offers Personal Hilarion Readings as well as Quarterly Hilarion Channelings.

Some of the earlier Maurice B Cooke books, are still available from Jon C Fox. I also had a bad experience with Ouija boards.  That thing was the reason that I started to feel so weak.  I had thought that it would be fun to use the darn thing when I was like 10 and then when I started High School a few years later.  

I just couldn't stay awake.  I got up a good time and went to sleep early, so I don't know what the problem was, but I just didn't have any energy anymore.

After my friend told me that I had a neg attachment, he helped me get it out of my aura and from then on, I had plenty of energy, my thoughts of killing people that had played in my head for so long, vanished, I also started to do better in school.

But the best effect was that the dream that I had been having for so long vanished.   It was a scary dream and was the negs doing.  It was also how I had gotten rid of it.  I had finally confronted the darn thing and fought it a different way.  Using light.

So now I haven't touched that thing ever since.

I just might once again though, now that I am more experienced I doubt that I could pick up something that I couldn't find some way of taking care of at the earliest possible moment.

Personally I think Hilarion's view on the Ouija board is utter rubbish!

Well I've got some news for Hilarion...
NO PSYCHIC TOOL HAS ANY FORM OF HIGHER PROTECTION AROUND IT, INCLUDING TAROT CARDS, EXCEPT THAT WHICH IS CALLED DOWN UPON IT BY THE USER!!!
Protection is dependent on the user, not the tool.
Improper use of Tarot and angel cards have cause great devastation in people's lives.

Sorry, but if we're going to take on board this kind of dogma as being the truth of the matter, then why don't we all go out and buy a copy of the Bible or the Qu'ran and from this point on believe nothing other than what they say.

As I said before, Ouija boards are tools. Nothing more! How safe they are depends on the user.

If anyone here has used a chainsaw, then they're familiar with the use of a potentially very dangerous tool. But if you've been taught how to use one properly, and take the necessary precautions when using it, a chainsaw can be a very useful and helpful tool.

Guns don't kill people. The mindless followers of another person's dogma kill people.

Kyo Kusanagi, I took a look at the link you gave to that afterlife forum.  Very interesting thanks for posting that.

Another question to all: Do you think that Ouija is all supernatural, or ideomotor effect'(psychological) or a bit of both?  I was reading of an experiment where a group of people created a fictional dead person and in their Ouija experiment, they got a group of people together who actually channeled the fictional character and spoke to 'him' on the Ouija board.
