Most psi and paranormal knowledge has no earth language translation. I've learned things I couldnt possibly describe. You get a very basic starting point from astralpulse, as much as you can get from words. The rest must be your own experience.

I agree with both of you. Actually, there are a lot of people who do teach beginners. A teacher is not only there to learn you how to do something (that's very hard, as Beavis just said), but also to tell you about the theory, which is both interesting and useful for the practical part.

www.veritasonline.net will provide classes when the site is up. You should take a look, see if you can find something. Also, you could try to join the Psipogchat, sometimes they give classes there too. For more information, check www.psipog.net.

Just watch out that you don't get a fluffbunnyteacher. :) Guys at Veritas and Psipog are generally to be trusted, but make sure that the guy that is about to teach you knows what he's talking about. You don't want to waste your time on bovine excrement, now do you? ^.^

I agree that your taught a basic starting off point, or you learn it yourself then go on from there. Basically only you know how far you can progress, and only you know your full potential. What if the techer had no idea how to explain things to you because they learned it differently and are trying to teach you the way they learned it. You wouldn't understand, right? Anyway, the point I'm sorta trying to make it that some things you have to learn in your own style and technique; what works for you might throw off someone else:D

The concept of the sorcerer's apprentice is sound, and still in wide use in both east and west.  One point of confusion is sometimes the mis-defining of terms.  You'll hear people say "When the student id ready, the teacher appears."  The problem is they think this means "I want it so where's the teacher."  You're wanting apprentice training isn't what brings it to you.  Think of it more like "When the student is PREPARED, the teacher appears."  I assure all of you that when you have duly and truly prepared yourself, the teacher will appear.
A real Master Magi would never train you in psi nonsense.  A real esoteric teacher would tell you (1) avoid any and all so-called psychic stuff until I tell you different and (2) they would then close your third eye tight and possibly seal it.  When you mature in your work, you'll thank them for this, I assure you.
There are 5 different types of "eye" one can develop.  The popularized 3rd eye is just one of these, and probably should be the last to be opened.
I won't go into great detail, but think of it like this.  The eye you want to open first is the one that allows you to see inwardly.  If you put a great deal of time and energy into trying to fool around with psychism, you can eventually cause damage to the "inner" eye.  Then you may not be able to get it to work or it won't work well.
Teachings about psychism are like the folk legends of the gold the wee people would give you...and then the "gold" is found to be only dry leaves.  Teachings about psychism are like a cold north wind...blowing across dry, fallow fields.

Hello everyone, I was wondering why there isn't any Masters that teach thoses like me who are trying to succeed in psi. Isn't it a better way of learning? Faster and the good way? Instead of having headaches? Isn't it why schools exists? Well, I dont really believe in the actual school system, but more in the old times Master Apprentice system like someone trying to become a blacksmith learning from his Master.

The psi community could have meetings once in 3 months or so showing what they've recently learned.. not to be show off but in an educative and motivating way.

Tell me what you are thinking about this! [|)]
