Title: Asteroid strike in 2014 - dewmed after all?
Post by: no_leaf_clover on September 02, 2003, 17:41:58
Giant asteroids are no longer a major threat. If an asteroid is going to hit us, we'll know years in advance and have plenty of time to land a rocket on it that will boost an engine and guide the asteroid in another direction. In a year or two, even a 1 or 2 degree difference will be enough to guide the asteroid completely out of Earth's way.

Don't look for Nibiru around 2012, either. I'm sure enough that Nibiru is a bit farther off than that. Adrian's ideas on shifts in consciousness suit me just for the 2012 dates, if anything is to happen at all.

HuM!  Well at least we'll go out with a blast ;)  Seriously though, I have heard so many times "it's the end of the world".  The fact is that the end of the world is when no one will suspect it.  Not one person will be able to say "yup its today".  But if there is someone out there that picks the correct day, I promise when it happens I'll pay them $1,000,000 us dollars [:)]

Greetings,

The big question is; would the governments warn the population if there was to be a catastrophic incident, or would they equip their shelters with a few years worth of provisions and go underground, while at least having the satisfaction of knowing they did not cause mass panic and a possible state of anarchy?

I guess it comes down to how well you trust the governments [:)]

With best regards,

Adrian.

Of course the rich and the powerful will have first dibs on the shelters, but not even shelters are foolproof.

I suppose I would want to know in advance -- make my peace with my life and my soul.  I wouldn't want to be in a big city tho -- advance knowledge would definitely bring out all the nuts and the predators as well as the usual fears and panic attacks that every human feels from time to time.  It would be chaos in many places.

I like to think I wouldn't contribute to the chaos, but who knows how they would react to that kind of duress?  In a panic, I have no idea what I would be like.

I do not think that it would be the end of all life on the planet -- just in the most affected places.  Even a near miss would cause tidal waves and earthquakes.

Overall, the odds seem to be in our favor.

if the meteors hitting the ocean, im going to go as close to the place where the meteor is susposed to hit as possible on a boat but with out dangering my self too much. Id do this because i saw something on discovery that the people who were close to the impact on the water wouldnt get effected as much as the people at shore, they said that the sunami doesnt completely develop until it gets closer to shore.

Some of them are already underground.

offcourse beavis.
AND THERE IS A QUESTION WOULD THEY EVEN CONSIDER
DESTROYING THE METEORITE!!
evacuation is also possible.
if there is possibility to evacuate Earth,
for the few or the many,
last thing people would seen is the meteorite, but before,
they would see a Gigantic UFO comming out of the atmosphere
from America.
and gone to colonize Europa.
satelite of Jupiter with oxygen and ocean.

and the INTENTION of people today is to magnetize the
huge meteorite to kill them all.
WE ARE DRIVING THE METEORITE TOWARD HERE.
EVERYONE WANTS IT.
Everyone is tired of the corporative-policy of today.
and everybody knows there is no possibility of Change except
death for all.

well it depends on how big it is and how they would destroy it, i mean if its something like armegeddin i doubt it. we would all die! if its a govt cover up and we didnt find out what it actually was intil than, than i feel they just want us all killed  just because its classified info, that would be bull excrement! i just hope it is all wrong and that we dont die that year, im too young to die.[:(]

1:909,000 is better than the chance of getting struck by lightning. [/quote]

I saw somewhere that being struck by a lightning it´s just 1:9000, much more easier to get one lightning bolt in your head than have a car accident (1:10000)!

http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/space/09/02/asteroid.reut/index.html

quote:
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- A giant asteroid is heading for Earth and could hit in 2014, U.S. astronomers have warned British space monitors.

But for those fearing Armageddon, don't be alarmed -- the chances of a catastrophic collision are just one in 909,000.

Asteroid "2003 QQ47" will be closely monitored over the next two months. Its potential strike date is March 21, 2014, but astronomers say that any risk of impact is likely to decrease as further data is gathered.

On impact, it could have the effect of 20 million Hiroshima atomic bombs, a spokesman for the British government's Near Earth Object Information Centre told BBC radio.

1:909,000 is better than the chance of getting struck by lightning. March 21 2014, just a year and 3 months after the Mayan 2012 :|
It suits not the bill of the tales of Zetas and Annunaki to supposedly come, unless you consider the meteor a govt cover up for Nibiru or something :P
However, is this the destruction and passing over of the occultists to the higher cycle? We'll see..
