Two things:

1. I thought only living things had auras, but I could be wrong since I read somewhere about different colors having auric matches. That could be what you're seeing on the monitor.
2. Please, before you make a post, double check to see if Caps Lock is on!!! [|)]

I believe you are merely seeing the after image of the icons on your desktop. The light that is projected from the monitor is what is causing it, its kind of like when you look at the sun, and then close your eyes.  Aura's are much different.

Have you tried looking at the aura of colors?
Here is how I got started:

I imagine you've done this exercise, but stick with it.
You'll KNOW when you start to see auras, there is no other way to explain what they Really look like untill you see them for yourself.

Most of the people who I talk with about it, their main problem holding them back is how they use their eyes to focus. You sort of have to "unfocus" on everything to see the aura. Don't gaze and focus on anything in particular, just make sure your general gaze covers the area where you want to see the aura.

Lighting makes a big difference too when you first start out, as some lights can over-power weak auric sight.  What's silly is that auric sight is a natural ability, and it's our awareness of it that needs to be exercised. Keep this in mind as you progress, and don't give up.

I found a good way to practice is with some headphones of your favorite music, laying in your bed, and gazing up at your hand/wrist/arm.  Most ceilings are a neutral enough color, and within a few days you will probobly start to see the Etheric aura.

I'm no expert at this, and it usually takes me a good while to see a nice solid aura, But I hope this helps you out.

Seeing auras actually involves a form of clairvoyance. When you have the conditions for seeing auras you will see them even when not actively trying to. Background, lighting, and mood are the three things that are most important when getting started. Once you have seen an aura no matter how well you are much more likely to do it again. There are physical exercises involving the eyes which are used to learn to see auras, but that is just a beginning. When you use your eyes deliberately and in unfamiliar ways you adjust your consciousness. It is this adjustment in consciousness which you are learning to repeat. Silencing the internal dialogue is a big step toward obtaining the right mental state. Relaxation and deep breathing, too. Also, when you are looking at an aura it is important to remember that you are not looking directly at the person or object. It is the space around the person or object you are looking at. This is not done by focusing the eyes on a single point in space around the object. It is more like trying to see the entire object or body part of a person and all the surrounding space at the same time.

I HAVE BEEN PRACTICING SEEING AURA FOR 3 DAYS AND ALREADY I CAN TELL THAT I'VE SEEN IT BEFORE MANY TIMES BEFORE MY HOLE LIFE. bUT I NEVER FOCUSED ON IT UNTIL NOW. WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES NO MATTER HOW LONG I STAIR AT SOMETHING USUALLY 2 SECONDS I SEE ALL THE AURA OUT LINES .FOR EXAMPLE I SEEE EVERY ICON ON THE COMPUTER FOR LIKE 3 SECONDS AFTER I CLOSE MY EYES IS THIS AURA. AND WHY CAN'T I SEE THE AURA MORE EASILY ITS TO TRANSPARENT COMPARED TO HOW SOME PEOPLE SEE IT
