No that looks more like a normal optical effect in the eye. This is not aura. Actually I haven't seen any aura ... some people claim it is electromagnetic waves emitted by the body, well then the only one that I know is due to the temperature of the body, and therefore it is in the infra-red. When you look in the infrared (with a special camera) you can see what part of the body is hotter , etc... if someone has a flu, sure his sinus might be warmer, etc... but I do not know of anyone who is able to see in the infra-red with his own eyes!!! I never saw a bright luminous aura around anyone. What I think is that it is rather visible in the astral world, and that people who are able to see with their astral eyes while in the physical are able to see aura. but that's another story, as the astral itself is kind of a strange world. I never met anyone like neither. I know I am a sceptic, but that's why I am here to see if anyone can bring some real proof...

The way I read it, your third eye is able to pick up the energies of the aura. It works with your eyes to create a visual interpretation of the aura. I have seen my own aura around my hand. When you see it you will know. It will flare up a bright color. It is hard to say about the green that you are seeing. I can see something similar too and I am not sure if it is slightly picking up the aura or just an after image.

As for proof of seeing auras, what kind of proof do you want? How can you proof something like this?

Did you try to see if you also see that aura around object. If it is the effect I think about, you see it also around things. For that you need to take something that has the same color than your hand (approximately bright say) and put it exactly in the same light environment as your hand was, and you will see like a tiny border to it, like for your hand, it is an optical effect.

You're talking about an after image, that is when your receptor cells get "burnt out" so to speak, so the opposite color takes precedence, like when you look at a light and the shape of the light stays there for a while. What I see sometimes (like right now) is different, its a colorless haze around most objects, like when I look at my hand, its not an after image (I don't think) because when I look at my hand for a long time and move it, the haze stays tight around my hand. It might be yet another optical phenomenon.

Not sure if this helps. I read another post relating to another webpage describing the telepathic window technique and I got to the end and saw the party tricks section, thought it would be a good read. I saw the aura section at the end of that and tried it in a slightly dark environment on a black background (for this I even had to turn my monitor off!)

Anyways here's what I saw when I looked at my hand. There was a thin purplish-blue border around all my fingers (against the darkish grey wall) and then I got the whomping haze from my cones being burned out. Blinking helped the haze go away, but I reverified my results about 5 times with constant focus changes and realized it wasn't a visual trick, well to me anyways. I'd say the proof is in the puddin', if you're hungry.

I see also a small haze and always wondered if I was seeing the real thing or if it was just the surrounding air getting warmer in contact of the body/object; a bit like a mirage in the desert or on a hot road...

Practicing seeing auras is not something I do much of any more, mostly when I am waiting and cannot do much of anything else. If ever should get the opportunity to do this test I will. Which optical effect are you referring to, the haze, the greenish outline, the flaring color, or all of them?

Hi

So i started to try see auras for .....okay i forgot how long.
I tried the third eye thingy but it just gives me headaches(small ones).I know i already posted about the pain but thats not the question.
Now every time i trie to see a aura i mostly see somthing coulerless but you see its there. for example:i gaze at an object and i see somthing green (like a realy fine line on one or more of iets sides)but i dont know if its aura.Another example:i look at somone,i see somthing coulerless surounding it and when he/she moves suddenly it makes a trail and dissapears.
So when do i know when i see an aura.
