I would really appreciate some comments from experts on this particular issue of mine.
I've had this for a long time, I can especially recognize it when I'm talking to someone over phone or over microphone from the PC.
Whenever I hear sound I get an image basically. These images do not take over my conscious awareness, but they blend into it. This means, that it is not a vision I can turn to, but rather a seperate impression that sneaks by my eyes. Sometimes they are so subtle that they remain in my unconscious.
Just for example. I was talking to a lady over the internet and I got a strong impression of wooden furniture, with another person I got 'blue'. Both things turned out to be confirmed by them later as I asked so this obviously is a type of clairvoyant impression.
Talking to another person I got a strong impression of a snow-scene from a video-game I remember aswell as an impression of what I guess would be high altitude above the east coast of the states. This means that I'm not necessarily seeing actual places but also associative items decoded by the mind into something known. However, I'm sure that this has to do with tuning-in rather than making something up.
This happens whenever I have no prior information about what I am hearing but for example when I do already have information about a sound, for example If it I listened to a song called "Snow mountain", this would mean that by the title I had pre-occupied thought that would completly overshadows or influence the impressions.
I'm not sure how to interpret these things. They come by random not by call and I can't really shut them off.
There is a saying that every 'thing' has a specific vibration, color and tone to it. Sometimes, when I'm listening to an instrument for example, I seem to pick up it's unique vibrational color but sometimes it's so far from my conscious-awareness that I can't pull it to my mind, similiar to knowing to have a specific memory about something but not being able to recall it.
additional question: What comes to your mind about, what I call, 'thinking beyond thinking'?
Can anybody relate?
Hi Tiny,
You've got a good grasp on understanding your experience.
I'm sure too that your mind is implacing a stock image as you auto fine tune.
You have a choice. You can accept or deny by choosing where you place your attention. It may be more effective to focus solely on the emerging feeling, and allow itself to clear up for you. That's what I do anyway.
Thinking beyond thinking: is for me more like no mind, actively observing and choosing responses through 'feel thinking'. Hope that makes sense to you.
I agree it sounds like clairvoyance. However, if you get a standard sight every time you hear the same sound, or get the same image when you see the same person (as if each person had an 'assigned' color or texture or sound, etc. then it could be synesthesia.
However, your description sounds more like clairvoyance to me.
I don't think it's clairvoyance.
Remember, clairvoyance is simply the name given to the ability to see objects intuitively. When you are viewing a subject (an idea or association) as opposed to an object (an actual image, scene, or etc.), I would say it is not clairvoyance. You may be clairvoyant, but you may also have non-clairvoyant abilities as well.
No, clairvoyance means 'clear seeing'. It can manifest in many ways- remote viewing is clairvoyance, seeing an object, whether it's there, somewhere else, or not there is clairvoyance. Intuitive knowing of an object is psychometry, not clairvoyance.
