Motes of light

Hello all. I'm new here with lots to post. I've been looking for boards like these for a while.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else can relate to this topic and if so help describe it.

If I concentrate and unfocus my vision, usually by looking at the sky, I can see tiny blurred motes of light zipping and flitting about. When I first noticed them as a child I was told they were "bugs" or I "was seeing things" but I've since brought it up recently and was told "everyone sees them" or it "wasn't anything."

I tried to determine if it was biological or if my eyes had problems but I've got great vision with no eye problems and I ruled bugs out long ago. I can also see them in the dark but not as easily. Since it doesn't seem to be physical and most of the people I've already spoken with can't see them or pay no attention I figured I'd bring it up here.

Any suggestions? Has anyone else experienced this?

I have been seeing them for about a year or so my self, they are exactly as you say, had my eyes checked by 4 different optomotrists and my eyes where fine, the stuff you are seeing, i am not certain what it is exactly, i have once seen this energy intensified many many times, and it was like sparks of red, lasted only a moment and it was every where.

floaters? what you seen if you stare at a white screen, page or sky. I don't think they are anything unusual just a consequence of a fluid(ish) filled eyeball. I don't like bursting bubbles :-) but in this case that's what I think you'll find it is. Easy enough to google

No, they are not floaters at all, i have floaters and they look nothing alike, these motes dance on there own.

They could be floaters but they don't exactly fit the description. My eyes are fine and they're never been injured or had surgery and I've been seeing them since I was a child. They jump and move erratically and quickly and don't behave like something floating in a viscous gel.

Yeah, I have to say I have floaters as well, and can tell the difference.  I've seen white dots dancing around me on several occasions, mostly when I was pregnant.

When I was younger I use to lay down on my side with one eye mushed well, not mushed but using the pillow like a patch while the other one is open... I could see the blood flowing through the eyelid!!  It is hard to get a good look because you can't follow any of the blood flow, you just have to look straight ahead, but you will see it.   Pretty cool.

I don't remember where I read it, but in training to see the aura, the author suggested looking up at a blue sky while lying on your back and noticing these white, quickly flitting things.  The author called it "prana" which is the same as chi, and life force.  I found it easy to see but my husband was unable to perceive it.  I just look at the blue background of the sky and just let the quickly moving globules come into my vision. I hope this helps as I think it's the same as what you're asking about.

I've also seen those dots of light. They are half-transparent, or white(when I am deeply relaxed). Movements of these dots is totally chaotical. I think that this is something on the surface of the eye.

Yeah, i know what your talking about. I can see them all the time when I zone out in class or something. No idea what they are, but they're amusing to watch.
