I am not really sure if i understand what you are saying about this, i kind of do.  I don't know understand why it was there.  Like i said, the small attempts i made to contact him again failed (i assume).

I was thinking that is it necessary that usch encounters are always related to shadow. I mean can't it be a halucintion. I am asking this because I also had an encounter a few days ago.

In the middle of the night I woke up due to a nightmare and then I saw that an ancient person's figure, a figure that is most likely found in history books with green colour and the person having curled hair, was standing at about a distance of 8 feet. It was floating in air and started to move sideways and then passed through the window. Was this some kind of halucination or was it shadow?

Can shadow harm us or is it very friendly?

So, how do I know that it was Shadow or some thing else?

Can shadow take any person's form, or is there some specific form?

Hi timeless.

You say that it's like a form of your fears, or negative side.
When i woke up and saw this man standing before me, i didn't feel fear, it was the kind of glance you would give to someone who has just walked into the room, only you are intrigued by what he/she/it is doing.  I just looked, and i guess i just feel back to sleep.
If i was scared i doubt i would have gone back to sleep, i would have probably turned on the lights.

Just a thought.

Timeless, does shadow talk to us or it just shows itself infront of us. I can't relate the figure I was with any of my emotions. I don't remember if the fidure looked at me or not. But the figure was an ancient one as in history books. It just went flying through the closed window. Does shadow also show such peculiar things or does it communicate with us.

Do spirits also take these forms. Is there anything else than shadow who can take human forms.

Even I did not feel scared when I saw the figure. I just saw it fly out of the windows, then thinking it was a halucination I went back to sleep.

Even I love the movie 'The Beautiful Mind'. I really, really love it's music and the movie itself. When I came to know that it is a true story and that the person is still alive, I had a real urge to meet that person. He could serve as a model to science for maing science realise the true powers of mind. I mean the illusions created by mind were so real that he actually could feel them. He was able to apply all his five senses on these illusions. The movement of each hair, the proper answers that the illusions gave, the mathematicians not knowing the answer beforehand even though his brain created them etc... That shows the true power of our mind which can make illusions into reality. Allthemore what do you define reality as? It's just illusion...

What i understand from what you are saying is that the 'shadow' can visit us in the form of an expression of some repressed issues?  Is that right?  That we then need to look 'inside' to see what it is that we have been surpressing?

I am off to discover more about 'phasing' too... i think this whole forum is an exciting place and there is such a lot to discover!

Hi all!

Just thought i would share a little experience i had a couple of months ago.
My mum had friends staying in the house, and they needed a bed, so i agreed to sleep on the sofa downstairs in the lounge.
Sat up, chilled out, watched tv, eventually got tired and fell asleep.
The next morning i awoke to my mum drawing the curtains.  I sat up, turned on the tv and started to watch a programme about hauntings.  I can't rememeber exactly what it was, but i saw something on that programme that triggered a memory of the night just passed.  I rememeber laying with my head tiltered up slightly, opening my eyes and seeing a male figure standing before me, quite near, i'd say about 2 feet, if that.  I felt as though this figure was mostly composed of the color blue.  Something else which stood out in my mind even now is the mans structure.  He wasn't solid like us, he was made up of what i would say are thousands of molecules.
I didn't feel scared, i stared at him for about a second, then i have no memory of it after that.

I have tried to tell my subconscious before going to sleep that i want to communicate with the entity in my dreams.  But i always wake the next morning not rememebering any dreams at all.  Usually i am pretty good at rememebering dreams.

"Practical Psychic Self-Defense" was delivered to my house this morning, and i have been reading it.  It's really entertaining, i don't want to put it down.  One thing i came across when reading it was when Robert Bruce descibes being attacked by a Neg and he described the entity as being composed basically the same as i have said.  Which reassured me even more that i had experienced it.

Any thoughts/comments would be great.
