I find that when I'm in a desperate situation, usually caused by sleep deprivation, my ability to predict how things will play out becomes more accurate.

It's like when certain senses stop working, others seem to become stronger. In this case, my sixth sense is what kicks in when the others are failing me. Has this ever happened to you?

I can't say that it actually helps, because sleep deprivation can cause many false things.  I've never thought it was a good thing to deprive oneself of sleep. Plus, I see sleeping as a recharging and I need that, especially at my age.  :-D

Ideally no, you definitely wouldn't be deprived of sleep. Unfortunately I've been in situations where it was unavoidable and I feel like a huge part of what happened to me was trying to keep my mind focused on what I was doing and where I needed to be.

Naykid

Do you mean that when you are deprived you work harder to concentrate?  That's normal, but if you weren't deprived of sleep, you wouldn't have to work so hard. :-)

But of course if you find yourself having to deal with sleep deprivation on a regular basis due to work or whatever, then I guess I would try and find a way for it to work out in my favor.  So, good luck.  :-)

To be perfectly honest (and this will more than likely make me more unpopular) sleep deprivation causes hallucinations, and if you're sleep deprived for more than four days it escalates to psychosis.  (However, it's temporary and reversible, not the 'mental illness' kind).  So the idea of being able to predict may be part of the episode.  So please don't let yourself be deprived for more than four days, and try to stay safe.

Exactly, that's what I meant about falsehoods.  Hallucinations sounds so much better..or worse.. lol you know what I mean.  :-P

do you have examples of actually predicting things that came true when you were sleep deprived? having experienced hallucinations when sleep deprived, i know its true but it takes quite a lot of lacking in sleep to actually hallucinate. how many hours of sleep do you go without when your "6th sense" heighten? if you can truly make accurate predictions when sleep deprived, i believe there may be some truth in your theory.

Sleep deprivation does nothing good....its just bad and I don't recommend it.  :|

For me, my sixth sense gets stronger at times that I am very relaxed and at ease. I have had sleep deprivation a few times, but I felt terrible at that time and didn't even care about my sixth sense, I just wanted to get some sleep... So it's the opposite from you.  :-)

This doesn't happen with me,in fact when I am in desperate situation I usually become anxious and can't sleep. This make my mind more confuse about normal things.I feel refreshed when asleep for at least 8-10 hrs daily which is need of every person. And my 6th sense work better when I fell refreshed and peaceful.
