I have never really gotten into much about phrophecies and the likes but I used to have a little interest in Nostradamus (spelling?) and was expecting the world to end sometime during 1999 or 2000 I think it was...well not end exactely...just more of a holocaust thing.

I do however believe that the future is not truely set...that is why we have choices...and if enough people choice a path then that path will be the one that gets followed.

If i do however see four horsemen riding past one day however I probably will run inside and start to pray like nothing! hehehe

According to little-known Koori (Australian Aboriginal) prophecies, the date for destruction is 2004 (or 2006, can't remember) Our fate is in the balance with the Gods arguing over whether to eliminate all humans, some, or most. Apparently cloning was a big no no and with the recent human cloning news, I'd say it doesn't look good now....

The prophecies include the universal tidal waves and destruction, earth quakes, etc. But there is also aliens coming to earth as well. Not sure how the human cloning will affect that one, tho... they might not be bothered. (And I suspect the aliens are the Gods, of which my source talks of.)

Til then (well, hopefully not)

This is something I've been mulling over in my mind for the past few months. There's been a fair few things I've seen, read and heard about this...

So.... supposedly the world is accelerating towards something BIG in the next 10 years. This *feels* right, as well. Some of the things I've read about this...eg. Robert Monroe's 'Journeys out of the Body'. He describes seeing sepereate visions of strange craft flying overhead and being filled with awe; those strange craft flying overhead, on bombing runs in cities; a massive state of emergency, which was out of our control.

That kinda scares me. I don't WANT humanity to be killed off right now! Although I can understand that Earth (and the Universe) is going to be better off without our petty greeds and fears. I mean, we as a race, are destroying the very thing which is sustaining our life. And I feel that most people don't really care!

Have you noticed that world events, like wars and disasters are getting more commonplace? It seems that every week there's at least 1 or 2 earthquakes, or tornadoes, or landslides, or floods, or....etc. The whole middle eastern thing just seems to be accelerating to it's peak. Those shadowy NWO figures who have positioned themselves in positions of power are trying to bring their plans to a head :)

And this is how I see humanity will destroy it self: greed. Greed for money....lust for power. Love for the self is looked upon with a feeling of guilt...or fear. It seems love is only to be found in another person, our soulmates..someone we marry and spend the rest of our lives with.

But hey, that's just a whole concept I've formed in my heart and in my mind, and for once I've managed to put it down in to words. This is just my perspective.

There are some other things which scares me. About a few months ago, I came across this bulletin board (If anyone knows the BB I'm talking about, please post it here, because I lost the URL) where somebody had started a thread on these experiences he'd been having for a while:

Basically, his dreams had been replaced with nightly running battles with aliens, in burnt out buildings and ruins. At first, it was just battles with other humans, and then the aliens were introduced to him slowly - so not to induce fear in him, he said.

In these battles, when he got killed, he said he got this replay of how he died, from multiple angles. Then he would get thrown into battle again. He would wake up with bruises and cuts, especially on his arms and hands. And there were other people fighting alongside him - one of whom he met in real life. The other people would fight with other weapons...some would fight with just their hands, using their psi powers. Others were obviously medics, swooping down upon the injured, and healing them.

This post got a massive amount of replies...it was by far the biggest thread there. Other people wrote in talking about similar experiences and I felt that most, if not all, had that 'ring' of truth to them.
One person suggested it was a multidimensional war... I believe it's a training ground for a future battle.

Here is a great link to prophets and prophecies. Interesting food for thought.

I also was interested in Nostradamus, most particularly after the WTC attacks which I personally placed on one of these two .. I forget the name of what his "poems" are called :P

Earthshaking fire from the center of the Earth
Will cause the towers around the New City to shake:
Two great rocks will war for a long time,
And then Arethusa shall color a new river red.

Or:

At forty-five degrees, the sky will burn,
Fire approaches the great new city,
Immediately a huge, scattered flame leaps up
When they want to have verification from the Normans.

They both seem to have some relation the NYC, perhaps they are one and the same thing. Who knows.

No, to my knowledge these are correct (I viewed literally hundreds of nostradamus sites). There were indeed some fake prophecies circulated in emails post sep-11, but these are not them (or if they are, they are in fact correct.)

Whatever happens, is coming soon, within the next ten years. We've prepared our spirits through Astral Projection, knowing there is life after death.
But what happens when the supermarkets run out of food? And gas is not available, and our jobs are gone and money no longer has any value.
After a war, or natural disaster any of these things could happen, depending on how devastated the country, or mother earth becomes.
How do we feed our families? or get the neccessities for daily life?
That should be the major concern.
I see everyone collecting into tribes, and when their rations run out, It's tribe against tribe to ensure their own survival. Having to eventually become farmers again, or hunter/gatherers.

Are we prepared for that?

Nightflier...

lateralus897

You bring up an interesting point nightflier. I would first like to say that I don't think people realize that the destruction of our race also coincides with our ascension into a higher dimension. But I think we probably will have to return to our "hunter/gatherer" ways, and from this, we will learn to work together, and finally make our beautiful ascension.

Of course, that would be the happy ending (actually a new beginning). We will ascend regardless of our conditions, but we could go through incredible amounts of turmoil before it happens. The choice is ours, we have the ability to change our own future.

G'day all - I'm enjoying reading some different points of view on how "end times" are seen, especially when so many sources seem to be saying the same thing, and that many predict the very near term for it to happen (Donni - I really relate to the Aboriginal predictions also...)

I try to keep a level head, even though this is one of my pet interests. BTW - for those who think that human microchipping may be part of a larger plan to control crime, commerce and general social dynamics (especially if you read Revelation), then I read just this morning that the first humans are receiving these implants in SFO (even though I've heard of many recent experiments with such devices).

To quote from Melbourne's Herald Sun, "Eight people will today become the first to receive computer-chip implants, allowing them to be identified by a scanner. The 'chipping' ceremony will be held in Palm Beach, Florida, and is being performed by Applied Digital Solutions, a Florida technology company. The chips, called Veri-Chips, are rice grain-sized devices that sit under the skin. When scanned, they will emit a signal that transmits a code. That code is linked to a secured database holding personal data such as address, phone numbers and any medical conditions."

Views differ on how significant this sort of thing will become as part of a larger "End Times" scenario, but even recent writes such as Dannion Brinkley (sorry, I don't usually site New Age authors http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_blush.gif" border=0>) speak of a mandatory world-wide implementation as part of a global regime that does not have altogether good intentions.

There are actually quite a lot of events like the above that seem to be occurring within the last 15 years, and if they are to be compared with Revelations, roughly the next 10-15 years will see the rest of them occur, and the story does not have a good ending, for most anyway.

Don't really know what to make of it all - here's to happy thoughts http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0> !!

Please keep in mind that since the death of Jesus they have always thought that it was going to be the end of time. Many thought he would return soon, not over 2,000 years later. Personally I do not see why God would have a hand in destroying his creation. He may let man destroy most of himself but I truly believe that some will go on to have a new beginning and hopefully create a moral and peaceful society. Just keep an open mind and do not get worked up about something. Why even bother worrying about it. If it is going to happen then there is nothing that you can do about it so enjoy life.

Hi fallnangel,

While I can understand your sentiment, I don't have the same perspective on things... It's true that Christians in just about every age have believed their's was the last - although it's fairly plain that a lot of the prophetic "milestones" were absent, and that a little political and moralistic maneuvering was going on also. I'm not declaring that the world is going to end, but for anyone who looks seriously at current events in the context of prophetic teachings, there is the eerie feeling that many of them are being fulfilled with startling accuracy, far beyond random probability or "coded" generalisations.

This causes some people to question the belief that "everything is OK". God certainly doesn't want to destory his creation - but most prophetic teachings state that "End Times" are not for destruction, but regeneration by purge. There's no reason why God wouldn't do such a thing, especially given the state of projected world affairs in 15-20 years time.

Irrespective of the religious aspects (which I don't believe personally), the fact still remains that a string of compelling prophetic events and "waypoints" should say something about the rest of the prophecy - ie, that it might be possible? If that is the case, then I don't really believe "there is nothing that you can do about it so enjoy life."

Regards.

I just wanted to point that out to make people think about things. I mean every year you see the tabloids saying the end will come this year. They have been saying this for as long as I can remember. It has probably been going on since time began and man found out he could die. The just fear of the end of the world seeems to be a projection of the fear of death to a more grand scale.

I have read Revelatons, several times actually but it has been a few years. In all honesty it is very hard to put it with physical events. It is so symbolic it is about lost. It might be good to look back on and say oh yes I see now, but to see it before it happens is going to be difficult. The Bible even says that there will be wars and such before this event happens but they do not signal the beginning of the event. I have also heard many people saying many different things about this prophecy and have come to the conclusion that no one can really interpret it, or most of it anyway. I have heard some say that they think it has already come to pass in World War II. One thing that is really talked about is the mark of the beast. I have heard some say it is credit cards, others think we will all be branded with a bar code. I think that unless the governments become dictorships many people will resist chip implants for this every reason. But is this chip really a bad thing? I know I do not want it, but what if the mark is merely symbolic and does not mean any kind of such thing. It could very well be an attitude that everyone will get, a lack of morality.

Things very well could be coming about that have been prophecized. I just want people to weigh such things out and not just think "Oh that is close to what part of Revelations says so it must be the End". And remember this, though Revelations does have a lot of bad things happening the ending talks of good things when this has past. And I think that is what Revelations is about, not trying to tell people exactly what will happen but to give them comfort during troubling times. To let them know there is always good things after troubling times have past, and this can apply to all of our lives now.

Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

You are saying this like the common conception amongst most people is that judgement day will come at some point?

Sorry but is this an american thing or somthing?

I dont get this but everywhere else in the world or at least in Europe (I am in the UK, we dont have this thing about judgement day, the end times and all that crud,
sure there is talk about that at the end of the bible but most semi-sane people over here take most biblical stuff with a pinch of salt. If we're being kind we might say that its symbolic.

Americans appear to have a fixation with it however, and talk about it as if it is a accepted fact which seems strange to everyone else.

I have a feeling that the bible belt fraternity in the US has influenced mainstream society to a great extent and they love all this apocalyptic stuff.

Sorry to bang on about this but this forum I believe was originaly started to talk about sensible discusions abot forms of prophesy and divination that people might find useful in their daily lives and spiritual development but all that seems to be peddled about here is constant references to biblical apocalyptic mythology and end times etc which doesnt really do anyone any good!

Thank you for your last post, Douglas. It is always interesting to hear how people in other nations and cultures view things. You are correct in that Americans take the Bible literally, atleast from my experiences. I actually find it kind of scary that people feel so strongly about such things.

Did anyone read this- www.rense.com/general30/compare.htm - looks like not the end times but a downward slide of civilization. I think it is starting.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

i'm fascinated by all of this especially the planet x thing!! for those who dont live in the uk you may not know this little piece of infor but Manchester have had a series of minor earthquakes in the last week. Earthquakes arent out of the ordinary but they are in England!! perhaps this is related to planet x (or whatever it is!) getting closer.

Well you might have a point there (I also live in Eurupe) but who knows, if in a couple of years we would be asked to put some microchip in our hands or heads, some of these letters might make someone having read this question it.

I for one dont know very much about these things, but I suspect one can find quite a lot arguments for having this chip inserted. Less robbery since ther's no money. No black money(money laudry) etc.
I would personaly take a look at how much I value my personal freedom but then again, what would my money be worth if I only could pay using this chip.

Then if something very similar was written about in a book years and years before, well then this would be another quite strong argument against it wouldn't it.

So to say that it realy does not do anyone any good... well i guess future will tell.

Take Care,

Hmm I was going to ignore this one but...

Oh yes. The world ends. My view is that it ends and begins every moment.
But the apocalyptic end comes when humanity's majority has reached a level of spiritual development that allows it to meaningfully function on the next level of existence. Some of us have had a preview though.
It's totally useless to a) expect the end and b) to prepare for it.
The real end will be IT(tm).

Whether the world Ends(reg. tm) or not tomorrow, next week or yesterday is totally irrelevant.
What we need to do is to do the very best we can to learn the lesson we are here to learn and to help others learn theirs.
If we fail to do that either as an individual and especially as a race we'll blink out like a lightbulb and the world be the better for it.

Perhaps I could offer an alternative...

Throughout history horrible scenarios have been flaunted speaking of 'The End.' Organized religion has promised salvation from the end in return for loyal faith, weekly visits to church, etc., and it's worked pretty well. People feared this, and fear is a powerful enough emotion for control. Just look at the mainstream media today, running fear-based news. People are glued to the TV set, just as people were glued to the church pews for centuries. As long as an establishment continues to provide a service (salvation, or the latest breaking news) people will continue to subscribe to that service.

Brothers and sisters, the Universe is infinite and eternal. Nothing ends, it just changes. As fallenangel said, man has always feared death, and this end of the world thing is a projection of that fear onto a larger scale. There IS life after death. When you get the death card in a Tarot reading, it symbolizes change. Destruction is a form of creation. You knock down a building and make a new one. Think about the birth process. There's lots of blood and pain, and it looks and sound awful. But the result is a beautiful new baby boy or girl. Any major change requires a period of cleansing, clearing the way for the new, labor pains.

In the present world, people are questioning things they used to believe without question. There's so much uncertainty, so they're searching, frantically grasping for anything that will give them a little more understanding of what's going on. The Weekly World News has played off people's fears for years, every year promising the end and never delivering. Anything to sell a newspaper, which isn't news. Now we see the same people who did or would have believed the Weekly World News and other supermarket tabloids turning to the Internet, and what do they find? Channelers, researchers, radio shows like Jeff Rense and Art Bell, New Age bookstores, a whole subculture with a broad range of stuff people can cling to as part of their new worldview. It's completely out of control, unlike the days of church-going when you knew what you were getting.

Read Robert Bruce's http://www.astralpulse.com/articles/robert/articles_44.htm The Catch Basket Concept and then think about some of this sensational stuff that thousands of people have been duped into believing without question. REAL TRUTH COMES FROM WITHIN. If you look outside yourself for the truth, you will never find it. If you come across something that you think might be true, meditate on it, see if it resonates with you, apply the catch basket concept to it, but don't just believe it because it sounds sensational, or you might as well be in the checkout line buying the Weekly World News.

As far as The Bible and Revelation goes, I believe the Bible contains information that was intended to control through fear more than be consistent with the truth, not to mention it's very symbolic and not to be taken literally. I'll state once again that Apocalypse means 'lifting of the veil' and Armageddon means 'the revealing.' These words are not negative in meaning, but negative in connotation as the result of dogmatic beliefs and control through fear. The movie named Armageddon, for example, is about an asteroid about to smash into Earth. Connotation-wise, the title makes sense, but meaning-wise, 'the revealing' doesn't have much to do with an asteroid impact. For a different perspective on The Bible's Book of Revelation, I refer you to http://ascension2000.com/revelation1.htm

Now for 'Judgement Day.' I believe we have a loving God, not a vengeful and judgemental one. We're God's children, not criminals on trial. I offer a possible explanation for the REAL meaning of judgement day. An account of a Near Death Experience described a visit to an afterlife realm, whereupon the individual was shown their entire life from birth to death in a very rapid sequence, but it was slow enough not only for this individual to see what was going on, but also to feel what they and those they affected felt, etc. In other words, it was the high-level communication Robert talks about in AD, where it appeared to go by quickly but everything was digested and understood. The purpose of this, the individual believed, was to decide how well this life was handled, work out the karma, etc. and plan for the next incarnation...in a sense, lovingly and objectively judging the job you did in this life, just as you would judge the job you did making a school project. If you did a poor job, you're not going to hell, you just need to do better next time, live up to your potential.

I'm trying to dispel some of these myths for people so that they're not afraid, because we are nearing a time when fear could spell trouble for you. I urge to to find a model of reality that negates fear, makes it a moot point. I fear nothing anymore because I understand a few basic principles about life and the universe, but I had to come to this understanding myself. I wish I could just hand it to others and ease their pain, but I can't because beliefs are a tricky thing.

Humans have done some nasty things, but we've also done great and beautiful things. Our current practices in greed, power-mongering, deception, murder, the dark side of humanity is indeed depressing, unless you look at the bigger picture. Negativity is required for positivity, two polar opposites keeping each other in balance. Now there appears to be an abundance of negativity in this world right now, and if the way of the universe is to maintain balance, what does that tell you to expect soon? A rebalancing, a decrease in negativity and an increase in positivity. Remember that cleansing I discussed before, the labor pains? Well the negativity has to reach a peak before this can occur, so things will get worse before they get better.

I'll reiterate, the universe is infinite and eternal, so there's no such thing as an End, just a constant change. Being in the moment, being non-judgemental, being forgiving, being loving of yourself and others, just being, presents the power of the now, the power of infinity and eternity. Humanity isn't due for extinction, we're just due for a major change. Mother Earth isn't due for extinction, she's just due for a major change. The death card has been placed, and the one getting the tarot reading isn't running for the door screaming, but rather smiling because they know the change is near, and knowing that it's near excites them. Yes folks, it's a very exciting time to be alive right now. Things are reaching a climax, accelerating exponentially. Change is good, and change is the only constant. Feel free to latch onto any scenario you want, be it doom-and-gloom, ascension-like, ET invasion-like, whatever you want, but ABOVE ALL just be ready for anything, and trust in the Divine Plan.

Over and out.

Hi,  I am finding it a very disturbing and confusing time and am also wondering about our tendency to believe "The end is near"  every new year.  Maybe it is just some desire for punishment that has been taught to us.  The idea that we are born evil is certainly a part of so many religions.  I am also finding it a time of feeling "lost" here, as if everything is too strange and different.  Something has shifted, and where it will lead us is anyone's guess.

Of course, it looks like a period of wars with Iraq and possibly Korea and others.  But I don't see wars as the end.  There have always been "wars and rumors of wars" .  I read recently that in the past 3500 years, there has only been approximately 250 years of peace in the pasts of the world we have histories for.   Any wars in 2003 will hardly be the last, or final war before a thousand years of peace.  Would we even know what to do with a thousand years of peace?

I like to think that what is truly shifting is something inside of us, in our collective consciousness.  Anyone else have any ideas or info on such a change?
