For, Neutral or Against the pendulum ?

Nuetral.

Reaons.  

1.  I believe that any divining tool can be learned and used accuratly.  But with all things it takes a certain dedication to the craft.
2.  My own personal experiences have worked fairly well for me.  But I know that it is not some thing I will continue to do.
3.  People believe what they choose to.  I just can't buy into the whole aliens talking through it.  I just can't.  But if it works for you run with it.  Just keep a level head.
4.  Guides talk to us in a multitude of fashions.  But I don't think that a guide would teach you through mis-information.  This is too easy to get with the pendulum.
5.  To each his own.  Or her own as not to offend.

Reasons -
1)It's just a tool for provinding information.
2)Different people have a preference for different tools to achieve a result.
3)It's entirely controlled through your own body - either by your subconcsious in the case of divination, or by interacting with he bodies EM fields in the case of dowsing chakras.
4)It's what you make of it as to how useful it is.
5)When used for divination purposes, the information it provides is only as reliable as the source.

reasons:
1) i don`t have enough information on the pendulum so that i can rely on it
2) the pendulum giving true info most of the time, but false and sometimes not responding for a long time makes it difficult to work with
3) i find it difficult to belive that the ONLY way is the pendulum - but i also it may be true - i don`t know that as a fact
4) i can`t belive all this alien stuff - it`s too much really - like in Stargate SG1 lol - but when you stay to think about it - it`s a big unknown Universe
5) i don't think that a guide would teach you through mis-information, but again a but rises - the guide may know what fits best for you

It really does not matter what I think but here it is anyway.

For some this is truly a wonderous tool and will help them a great deal, but for others it is a useless thing that does absolutely nothing even when used properly.  It works I agree but I have found other ways that are more effective for me to get the answers I want.

APing is one way but the method I use most is meditating and turning my focus inward and finding the answers in myself.  You already know all of the answers you just have to find them in yourself.  When meditating all you have to do is clear you mind and answers to questions that have been bothering you will come, if you are meant to know the answer that is.  Just like when using the pendulum you will not get answers to all questions.

The problem is many people find this incredibly difficult just as I did when I started but many people give up after a while thinking that it is either not working or they are doing something wrong.  They then begin searching for an easier way, which sadly conditions yourself to give up when things get hard.  It makes it more difficult in the future to overcome obstacles that you are presented with.  I don't do anything special I follow many of the same methods for meditating that people on this site do but the difference is time and perseverance.  Here is a site with some nice meditations:

hey mihai! its time for me to post my 5 reasons, sorry i completely forgot about them and needed some time to think of them too

well here goes:

1) Highly b/c it works so damn well for me! all the answers are given and more, and its such a good introductory tool to becoming telepathic with your guide!

2) Highly b/c time with the pendulum teaches you A LOT. Not only does it teach you, but it also gives you the gift of telepathy without striving to have it! This is what happened to me, i just used it for a while and next thing i know it I've got a little bit of telepathy!

3)Highly b/c its so easy to do. you dont need to be in any kind of trance or any meditative state. just simply pick it up, have the right state of mind: positive, and just ask away! Unlike AP'ing (that of which i have put off for a little while until i have reached my guide), where AP'ing takes so much work, the pendulum is easy as pick it up and ask it a question.

Many years ago, I did something to help a Gypsy who was in a serious plight.  They hate being in the debt of outsiders and so the person wanted to discharge the debt as quickly as possible.  I demanded certain knowledge and got it.  Deby paid...the person left.
One thing I was taught was that in terms of what we usually call "pendulums" etc etc it was us and us alone who provided the replies.  No higher this or that...just us.  Albeit it was usually the intuitive level of mind, and area few know much about.
I was shown how to use my body as the instrument and how to obtain the replies.
It takes practice as well as a sense of responsibility.  i.e. Are you willing to be as responsible for wrong replies as you are for right replies?  You soon learn how to judge when the personality is getting in the way and how to address that issue.
I've used it now some 35 years or so and quite often with unerring results.
In testing it, for ex, I drove from my home in mid-america to L.A. and right to my friends house only by using my "guidance" for directions.  I then later did the same to a city near the canadian border, but this time got confused 3 blocks from my friends house and finally phoned her.  I use it almost daily and can assure you it is more than a treasure in my pocket...it is a jewel without price...once you develop it.
After all those years, I personally feel you are loosing a lot of opportunity by assigning casality in a pendulum to "beings" or anything else besides yourself.  YOU can develop and increase control over YOU, but not over a "being" or some other-than-yourself causality.  
You can use your body as long as you patiently learn to get the personna out of the way and let knowing answer.  You may surprise yourself and come face to face with parts of you, you didn't know you had.
