Greetings All,

I've  been reading for a while, and haven't seen anything about the object that I've seen for most of my life.  Sometimes I see it with my eyes open, other times I seen it when my eyes are closed and I'm thinking about something.

When I have my eyes open, it reminds me of...say a star in the night.  Just a small bright object in my field of vision.  Instinctively I always look at it, and it goes away.  Seems like it may vanish even if I don't look at it.

When I  have my eyes closed and am in though, it reminds me of a dark circle, that has a glow.  The glow might be described as having a light behind it, and you can see the glow coming around the edges.

I've been trying to not change my thought or view when I notice it, but I haven't had any success.

Any ideas what I'm getting a glimpse is of?

Thanks,

sashamasha

I think I know what you are talking about.  I see more of these now than I did as a kid, and I can look at them now.  Sometimes they appear as a burn in my field of vision, with a bright outline, or like a little bitty solar eclipse.  they are quiet and dont move, but they arent always directly in front of me... actually i should have added this to my laundry list and was thinking about them today.  anyway, when I close my eyes and see one it is large, and, I believe, related to the third eye.  i can make the closed eye one larger and blink, and show pictures, etc.  it seems to have its own ideas but is personal to me somehow.

Yes, I was thinking it was a view of my third eye, but from a distance.

I've made an effort to not change my focus of vision when I see it, and I can make it hang around for a while.  I've always thought that if I knew how, I would be able to zoom in on the object and view what ever was being displayed.  I'm still looking for the method to achieve this, if it is possible.

hmm.  I've found in my own experience that methods defy methodology.  Wanting something, and not caring whether you get it, is key.  It's totally zen.  Zen-ish.  Keep at it as if you are reading a book in a language you don't understand but are taking intensive lesson in.
