Physical and atral evolution are intertwined, yes, but still going to say that humans once had a eye in the center of their forehead (as in one single eye or a pair with one above it) is very absurd. What other creatures do you know of that have three eyes? The only ones I can think of right now are Triops, they are these little Sea Monkey-esque critters, and even then the third eye is just a glorified. light sensor. Look at every other mammal though. Two eyes. Yea there is mutation to take into account, but in that case it wouldn't evolve into a superrace, most likely the child would be retarded physically and mentally, and in those times probably killed at birth.

 I have done some research regarding a certain chakra known to many people as the 3rd Eye. This chakra is often associated with the color indigo and is responsible for creativity, visualization, psychic abilities and communications to the higher-self as well as contact with other astral beings and universal guides. It is located at the center of the human brain and is also called the "Pineal Eye" or "Pineal Gland". This Pineal Eye is also responsible for all subconsciousness including automatic bodily functions such as breathing, the heartbeat, digestion and so forth. Over centuries and perhaps even millenia many scholars have practiced the art of meditation to utilize this chakra in order to be enlightened, to gain universal knowledge and wisdom, to connect to their higher cosmic mind, and thus take control of their own circumstances.

 In ancient times it has been said that great leaders [who were believed to be gods and dieties of great kingdoms such as the ones in Sumeria, Greece, Rome, Atlantis, Egypt, Babylon, etc.] were actually a race of one-eyed beings. These one-eyed beings are what our modern society would classify as "Cylops" or "Cyclopeans". Thus, the 3rd Eye could also be called the "Cyclopean Eye". Later, scientists theorized that these ancients over thousands of years evolved through earth's changing environment and in turn some aspects of their physical attributes have altered gradually as well as drastically. Now, it is in debate among evolutionists that people were once "one-eyed" or "triple-eyed".

 However, there are still so many mysteries regarding humanity's origins and it will always be interesting to seek, discover, and uncover all of these enigmas.
