Can I ask, what is a psion ?

On the subject of sleep deprivation, it has been used by mystics throughout the ages as a tool to reach altered states of awareness. Whether or not it helped their "psychic abilities" I couldn't say. I wouldn't recommend it though...it can make you a bit tired !

a psion i think is someone who makes psiballs i think, i just used that word because i saw it on another forum, i think it was psipog  but they closed the forums now.

Everyone makes psiballs but everyone is not a psion.

A psion is a person who relates every energy aspect with science logic and theories.

Or am I wrong?

This is what I think psion is.

i read a few posts at psipog.net a while back and thats what they said i think but im not sure ill try to find out exactly what it means though.

Generally the term Psion is reserved for an individual who has mastery over 2 or more abilities.  A person who also considers them selves a Psion usually holds a scientific philosophy about the subject.  They are usually a student of metaphysics looking towards the reproducable effects of many talents. ie. Willfull control over said abilities there by removing thier often random timings and effects.


Sleep deprivation.

Yes sleep deprivation can be used to reach altered states of mind however usless a person know the proper way to go about it the results can and do often reek havoc on a persons energy body and mental state.  Not to mention the physical side effects of denying the body the regenative properties of sleeping.

That being said.  There is also no "catching up" on your sleep.  Sure you tend to sleep longer after periods of sleep deprivation but you do not gain any extra benifite from the extra sleep.  You are far better off just sleeping your 7-9 hours, pending age and fitness, and trimming back a little on you awake hours.

The idea of trimming back is not that you can sleep longer but rather spend an hour or so before you go to sleep doing some thing you truely enjoy.  This to be done to aid your mental relaxation and not so much the physical.  The idea is to get the normal 7-9 hours of sleep but to allow your mind to relax a little before doing so.

Many of the issues that arise due to sleep deprivation like the constantly being tired are not so much because the body is tired but because the mind is.  The physical and energy bodies pretty much return to normal after the first day or so provided the sleep deprivation is not continued after one good nights sleep.  The mind however takes longer to let go and needs alternate activities to work on besides what was keeping you up in the first place.

I know for sure I am sleep deprived...

It's instilled into my brain that I cannot sleep before 2 am. It just isn't gonna happen.  Sure, I could get off the computer and walk over to my bed, but I'd just lie there for as long as it takes... (I've done that many times...).  That's kinda the reason I seem to be here so often.

The only problem with getting to bed after 2 am is getting up at 5 am.  This means i have 21 hour days.  These days include those days I have no caffeine at all (which I have now pretty much become immune to... it takes so much of it to take effect).

I know there are probably lots of cures but fact is I hate sleeping.  It scares me to think that I miss so much of the day (on weekends).  When I sleep without a wake-up call, it'll last a good 11+ hours.  There's no way I can miss that much of the day!  (Gotta catch The Price is Right :D)

PS - During school it was different.. I actually got 6 hours of sleep.  Even though it was so little, I never really fell asleep in class, nor did I fail.  And it's not like I drink coffee or eat a full meal in the mornings...

During the school year i went to bed at 11:30-12:00am every night for school when i had to wake up at 6:30 or 7:00. I was usualy out all day doing stuff on my bike or playing street hockey. I thought i was getting enough sleep because i counted up the hours and everything but i was always exhausted for school and could barely stay awake during some periods. But for some reason, right after christmas break, i started feeling the effects much more, i was way too tired to even wake up sometimes but i still did and fell asleep sometimes during my first period class. I didnt do anything about it because at night i felt alot better. But i wasnt able to feel any of my own energy or anything, and it took alot of concentration to actualy feel my energy when i
concentrated in an area. Right around where i started getting sleep deprived it felt like i started losing my psychic stuff that would happen to me. But now, just barely missing summer school with a 65 average in math, ive been able to catch up on alot of sleep and now im starting to feel my energy much better, im starting to feel how i used to feel when i was having psychic expieriences, i think im able to guide my energy now through my body a whole lot better and i can possibly go back into becoming a psion and making psyballs. I rarely have psychic expieriences even before, so now im just waiting, but i have the feelings back, so now i think its just a matter of time and i think i finaly regained what i once had, but i havent had a telepathic expierience yet, i used to have these alot talking with my friends where i would hear a voice saying exactly what they would say 5 seconds later, im going to try to learn how to use these agains, they used to all be random, and thats what i want them to be so im going to learn how to use some of the stuff i used to do and possibly this can help out. Is it true, that if you learn how to use one ability it could help in them all, such as learning how to make psi balls it could help bring back the random future seeing and telepathic expieriences? Also, i was wondering, how big of an effect would sleep deprivation have on psychic abilities and how long does it take to fully regain all of the feelings after being this tired.I dont know if i could actualy call what i had sleep deprivation though, im just using that since its the best way i can think of to call it as of now.
