when i stare at my reflection in my tv, if i concentrate enough and keep focus on the object, i can put a dark shadow over the object that seems to blur everything. i think its not a shadow but a trick in my eyes. like something's happening to the nerves on my retina. but. its weird. like, my whole body's reflection will just blur and turn grey. and then i was staring at my legs, without unfocusing, i put the shadow over my legs, and they disappeared into the blankets. sort of. usually it has to be dim lit, cause the more light, the harder it is to put the shadow on it. and then one time i was trying to do that to a black crumb on a white plate, but instead, the whole plate got darker and the shadow engulfed everything on the plate. and then there was this bluish yellowish light around the plate. i dont know what im doing. so. somebody tell me if i need my eyes checked out.

I don't think your eyes need checking. If you already haven't tried this place your hand infrot of a white serface. Look at a spot relaxed and tell me if you see anything in particular.

By the way when looking into a black mirror (Similar to the TV)) it does similar things with me

You're fine.  I have had this happen with a mirror, and even while talking with someone focusing on their face for a long time. I think it has to do with afterimages in your retina obscuring the actual image and then reversing itself again.

Yeah, I agree with CF.   I have stared at my hubby while he sleeps.  (yeah, yeah, I'm a freak)  and his face sometimes morphs.  Has something to do with the eyes getting tired and perhaps the brain trying to fill in the blanks.. if that makes sense.

omg. yeah. like, i did it in the reflection of a glass window today, and my face morphed into all these different people. and my eyes like turned all bright blue and shiny.

i think so too. its cool though, cause i did it with a lamp(in dim light) and it went invisible, and i could see through it.

It happens to me all the time..i hope it is normal

If im in a dark room, after my eyes adjust to the light that is left in the room i can see pretty good.

but if i stare at anything for about 20 seconds without blinking or anything the room starts to turn black again.
