Well I consider myself a decent clairvoyant, sometimes this is an over or undereggageration depending on the day. Usually I can pull decent (80% confidence) information at a given time. It takes me a few seconds to calm my thoughts. The way it works for me...its hard to explain. I have a good relationship with my subconcious (see www.psipog.net there is an article somewhere about opening up to your subconcious) and unless my third eye is blind that day (and no I don't like the band), the information flows usually in the form of raw thought and emotion, I rarely ever get pictures (unless I specifically try to get them). When it does come in like that its choppy and blurred slightly, like a dream in fast forward. Its like trying to download a text document versus a MPG - the raw info is easier to transfer than multimedia).

As far as I know physical eyesight has nothing to do with it.

Trance is not necessary, though I usually go into a "zoned focus" state of mind (basically focused daydream). I can't see through walls per se, but if someone that I know well is around the corner I will often know it.

Clairvoyance I think of more as "general ESP" just finding out information from anywhere, remote viewing is directed at a certain area you are trying to view/draw.

Yes, I can sometimes navigate in the dark, a lot of it has to do with knowing the layout of my house (but its kind of new so i don't know it like perfectly), then again I do have off days where I'll try and walk in the dark and BLAM run into the couch or something.

I started getting interested in it about 6 months ago, I practice ESP zener cards or other psi-games when I can/feel like it. A lot of what works for me is useful everyday applications, ie trying to figure out what bus my friend is riding on. So I get general practice just about every day. And I should be meditating but don't always get the chance (bad me [xx(])

As for turning it on/off, I guess you could say I'm always on (sensitive mode), so sometimes ideas, most often people's thoughts, will be picked up on accident, I could block this out but I like it, its kind of like constant reassurance that I'm defying the normal way of life [:P].

Thats just my $0.02

It's long time ago that i am very curious about how clairvoyance or remote view works, but i could NEVER found any clairvoyant person, i can't believe that this is the most difficult psychic ability to get, or it is ? It seems so rare, even much more rare than psychokinesis, how can this be ? So, if anyone is clairvoyant or knows about how it works please answer these questions, because there is almost years i am very curious about this :
1. How do we see the images ? It's like hypnogogic imagery, like dreaming or just like when we imagine/visualize something?
2. Do receive still pictures or most like a motion video as if we were looking with the eyes?
3. Persons which have myopia can have any kind of side-effect on this ability ? (i think not)
4. It's necessary to be on trance, or it can be done while fully awake or even with the eyes open ? (like, see trough walls, read closed envelopes, etc, i readed this in a book about yoga but i need more details or a confirmation that this is possible)
5. What's the difference between clairvoyance and remote view?
6. It's true that it's possible to see in dark places with no light ?
7. It's really very difficult to develop this skill of clairvoyance/remote view?
8. If it doesn't require a trance, can this skill be "turned on/off" and doing it only when we want ?

If nobody knows the answer to these questions at least indicate me some websites or any posts on this forum that have these kind of details about clairvoyance/remote view, because it's very difficult to find. (also i am in a cybercafe so i don't have time to search in all the thousands of posts of this forum)
