Is there any method/ritiual to bind your soul/lifeforce with an object like an ring talisman ect..

somewhere i read that when you often do things with items and put emotions and feelings into them then a part of you will be also in the item (youll get some emotional connection). but if you ask how to really transfere a part of your soul into an item (maybe in order to give them some special abillyties) i dont know.

I still can't imagine why you would want to exist bound up to an inanimate object (although I guess it wouldn't be inanimate any more, would it?)  I can imagine existing as an object- quite the practical joke- but it sounds like the joke would be on you.
