Title: Kenesis Abilities
Post by: Pyro21 on April 26, 2009, 20:26:41
Do you know how to use any of the kenesis abilities (such as pyrokenesis)? If you do which ones?

Well, I'll be honest I don't believe in any of these abilities, it is all very blunt.

To tell the truth, I'm pretty skeptical about them too. I hope they're real though because that would be awesome.

You mean something like this?

This guy isn't even that powerful. I've seen real monks light balls of paper on fire.

I've been reading about the kinesis abilities and I've read that all these abilities do is give you the power to manipulate the kinetic energy. I believe these are real if that's all you're doing.

The abilities that are suppose to let you manipulate gravity, time, etc. aren't real though.

You're not alone. However, there are a lot of empirical evidence and scientific explanations and experiments that back this kind of stuff up. If you're really interested in it, look up the science behind Tai Chi and Qi Gong martial arts.

I seriously doubt you will find any humans on earth that can manipulate gravity or time. That's not the same as saying it is not possible.

Anything can be manipulated, given the right knowledge/awareness/tools/energy. Should one mess around with time? Could get messy...

That is a neat video you post.

From the face of it, a sketchy-looking Russian guy holding stuff in his hands and saying, "EEEEEEEEHHMMMMM!!!!", does not look all that credible, but I have difficulty explaining how he might have staged what he did. The way he has both his hands so close suggests he might have had a lighter or something that he extended from under his left sleeve, but in a few of the demonstrations, I still don't think a lighter could fully expain how quickly the item melted or combusted.

I don't feel right aceding that this skethcy video is authentic, but I must admit I have no way of proposing what he might have done instead. A good find!

My son went through a phase in which he wanted to learn magic tricks- we saw a lot of Kriss Angel and other magician shows just for practice, and what struck me is how they learn how to place their hands in a specific way- you still can't tell just what they are doing but you get to recognize the way they move their hands.  And when I was looking at the video it struck me- this guy, whoever he is, moves his hands just like a magician.
So my opinion has nothing to do with whether it's possible or not- I tend to think it is- but not by that guy.
Just my two cents, obviously.

Like I said, study the science behind Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Its interesting stuff and I have personally seen a monk light a ball of paper on fire with his chi/ki.

It's a lot like the spoon bending trick, anyone can do it.

Yeah, that is what struck me too. That his hands are so close and active leaves room for something to be hidden, but I am still not sure what it could have been that melted the cup that fast, and in that fashion. Oh well!

Also, everything he burns he does at the edge of the table in the exact same spot. There's a chance that whatever is burning it is hidden under the table right there.

All the kinesis abilities exists, it's only you who have to decide if they are true or false to you.
If u want to use/practice them you have to truly believe, so that they can "work".
I have tried some of them but i can say that(for me) they exist like your soul is in your physical body.
You need a lot of practice till u can get some "proof" that they really exist.

I tried the TK thing for 2 years everyday. Yes I could move the little pin wheel things, but was it the air currents or heat from my hands... or was it TK? And putting it in a jar I had it move as well, but then was it static?

Anyway, nothing wrong with trying it out and seeing if you can get it working. But if there is truth to it then I would have to dedicate a long long time to get results. Or I can just buy a Bic Lighter. Much easier  :-D
