Knowledge that a person you know is around.

I figure that I might as well write this down for the first time and see if anyone else has had an experience similar to this.

This happened is streaks at one point, and it was very strong and reliable for one span of a week or so. At one time, I realized I could tell if I was going to see someone I knew while I was walking down the street, they'd usually be in a car, and drive past. Once or twice I met them on the street as well. But anyhow, I'd get this feeling, can't explain it, but all of a sudden I'd  get the idea in my head that someone I knew was around.

It was funny, because I didn't realize it at first and then I kind of adapted it into the way of think when I don't think in the conventenial ways of thinking. Yeah, difficult to put properly, that's for sure.

The feeling was almost always followed by seeing someone I knew. It's always been unusual to see a person I knew as I walked down the street. I didn't know too many people. If I had to guess at the percentage rate of this it'd be in the 80 to 90% range. The feeling would strike out of the blue, because, as I said, I didn't pay much real attention to it. After I had it, and the person would go past, I'd think it was neat and would forget about it until it happened again.

Well, there's that vague one where can tell that I'm going to run into a person that I know, and then there's the one that would occour when I was near one specific person. More of a solid, physical feeling I'd get. This also had about the same success rate, but I'd know who I'd run into then.

In both of these, there was no way of knowing people were close, wouldn't have picked up the sounds of the engines in all the traffic, and wouldn't have heard the voices of the people if I would meet them on the street.

Hmm. Well it seems like I'm becoming a rambler. I'll leave it at that. If you have experienced this or you know what it'd be called or what it is, please reply.

Hey there, I have had the same experiences, anything from I will know when a person is going to call, or before I meet up with friends I get this weird "precognition" type thing where I will know what they will talk about or what their "new" story is. Alot of it happens in dreams for me, half the dream doesnt make sense but, looking back in my dream diary about once a week I will dream something, and it will happen later that day. Usually its not a big event, very mundane things. I am not 100% on this but I do think it is called precognition.

Yeah, I'd know that I'd actually felt it before I saw them because I'd say it under my breath when I felt it. It quickly became a habit once I realized the feeling meant that I'd run into people I knew. I never had the chance to see if it worked when I was walking with another person I knew, didn't walk around with other people as often. It'd be interesting to try, but I've moved from that town, and met new people that it (apparently) doesn't work with yet.

I have had similar experiences. I also know why. People from all different paths have different answers. Some say its the akashik (sp) records, they contain all information, present past and future. I tend to believe that everything is connected. I was brought up more materialistic than spiritual, so I dabbled in quantum mechanics. I do believe that particals do disappear and travel forwards and backwards in time. Also, two photons that have interacted (entanglement) will contuniue to influence each other even over long distances, without any known means. So if mundane science thinks its possible, then a spiritual person should think so. If all things are connected in some way (not saying all things are one, that is different), then whatever that person was doing (Driving towards your location) had some long distance effect on you, and you became aware of it in some way. Another theory, if all things that will ever happen are stored someplace, perhaps we all have limited access to it in some way, and you were using that spiritual database.
