One important thing though - TEST EVERYTHING!!!
Communicating with spirits is NOT something to be taken lightly.

Spirit guides will not come to you just because you want them to. You do have to be at a certain stage in your spiritual development first, and they will be the ones to determine this, not you.

There's the unfortunate reality here that there are many devious and untrustworthy spiritual beings that seem to just wait for someone to open up a channel into the spirit world without the proper precautions needed to do so safely. This kind of problem occurs all the time with casual spiritual dabbling using devices like Ouija boards.

If you become impatient and reach out to the first spirit that you come in contact with, you increase the risk of attracting one of these negative spirits.

The most basic guidance I can give you here is -

1) Test youself and your own motives first. Ask yourself why it is you feel the need to have a spirit guide. If these motives are purely self centered, don't try it! The first and foremost rule for dealing with any matters spiritual is "know thyself."

2) Know where your beliefs are at and call to higher (good) beings that you KNOW exist. E.G. if deep in your heart you know absolutely that Jesus exists, call to him for help. Similarly if you have encountered angels, which are higher beings, call to them for help. Don't just reach out into the spirit world with out knowing who and what you might be calling to.

That is where I started. I'd come away from the christian church and stripped my beliefs down to the bare basics of what I knew based on what I had experienced personally. I had personally experienced the presence of angellic beings, so I knew they existed. My call for guidance went up to them, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the response.

The topic link I gave you relies on using the pendulum as a communications device. Remember always that it is only a tool. It is not in itself a thing of good or bad, it is how you use it that makes it so.

What is the difference between an angel and some other nonphysical entity? How do you know thats what you saw?

By the feeling the emminate. At the time I didn't actually see them, I heard them (extrnally audible) and felt them. Real shivers up your spine stuff! If you could describe something like pure white light as a feeling, that's what it would be. They might very well not have been angels, but some other kind of higher beings or some elder race, I don't know. At the time the term "angels" worked, so I kind of stuck with it.

I've found that empathy and intuition play a large part here. There are some beings that give off an almost divine presence of love and light, and other beings who's presence trigger alarm bells with my intuition.

I am new to communication with spirits and other beings
i have searched but i can see no information for what i require

right

I would like to know how i can start to communicate with the spirit world eg contacting local spirits and maybe even reciving a guide

So could you tell me the right way to go about commuicating with the spirits?

On recieving a guide how would i recive one if you recive them or something and how would you go about communicating with them once you have one
