$1000 bucks for a glowstick that sounds like a lightsaber? hahaha, that's just priceless.

and the "minirocket" (under "space-age technology"  no less [:P]) is little more than a roman candle, i'm betting.

man, you could make better things than those using the anarchist's cookbook and looking through the "poor man's james bond" section [:P]. now THAT tells you how to make some cool excrement. [:D]

anarchist cookbook was a great fun I haven't looked at any of the new versions, but its too bad the telephone companies smartened up, I could really use some free long distance

anyhow, most of those electronics on their are obvious gimmicks for rich people to invest in, but I have plans in my popular electronics magazine to build a tesla coil, i think ill start there

The lightsabre looks unremarkably like a neon tube to me. Plasma? I'm not sure they really know what plasma is!

I couldn't help thinking after looking at their ads for their gizmos, that they should have a thing at the bottom of each page, something along the lines of "But wait, that's not all! If you order this product within the next hour, you'll get a free set of 'MiniSabre' steak knives. Watch as their plasma enhanced edges slice through this 4" thick steel reinforcing beam and then neatly slice up a tomato."

oh, i'm pretty sure they know their "lightsaber" has the plastic tube on it ^_^ (you can see it clearly in the pic where the "lightsaber" is in the open suitcase).

they never mention that it's able to cut anything, and from the way they word it, it does seem like they know all they are selling is a big glowstick with "neato" sounds [|)].

as for the plasma: there are a few definitions of it, and i think one of them actually might be able to apply to their stick (depending on the method and materials they use to make it glow).

Yes I saw the construction. I wasn't trying to get at the fact that it was something other than that, I was just questioning the technology they were advertising.
I thought the tube looked so much like standard neon. Then I read up a little more on plasma technology, and was reminded that neon tubes ARE a form of plasma. Guess they wouldn't be able to sell it for as much if they just called it "neon".

Just being picky

anyone ever stumble upon the sight www.futurehorizons.net?

they have some neato technology ideas that are WAY too expensive for me, I would really like the light saber tho

anyhow, some of the stuff is kinda neat, and if I had money to waste im sure some of them are more than just a gimmick

also talks about philosophers stone and plans for building atlantean power rods or somthing like that, anyhow, seems kinda cool, for a lark
