Hi,
I am new to this web site and i had a question. I sometimes smell a very distinct burning smell and someone told me it was a spirit around me. It happens quite often. I was hoping someone could tell me if this is true.

It might be a brain tumor (dont want to scare you with this) but you better go see a doctor just in case.

That's how I found out my OBE's were not caused by epilepsy.  I started smelling pancakes and went to a neurologist who had me tested (I had had a car accident and it was feared that I could develop epilepsy because of it.) I had myself tested and was cleared.
The moral of this story? It could be a brain lesion (as in tumor or something benign), head trauma, epilepsy or just plain nothing.  But getting checked out is a good idea.

Principle

One should get checked for all conditions, so you may not misinterpret something thats caused by your physical self and not spiritual self.

Yes, this could be true. It can be a number of things (if in the spiritual and not physical) ranging from a full fledge spirit to a trickster entity--or you might be experiencing clairolfaction: psychic smell. Sometimes if there is a person you are very strongly connected to, whether willingly or karmically, you can smell the things they smell even though they are a hundred miles away. Other times scents come as premonitions.

I had cyst on my brain 5 years ago, so that might be it. Thanks for all the input.

hey,
since you're seeing them - you can easily smell them - it's the same thing  You're just getting well tuned to the 4D  Great!
