Title: My Plant is dying!!!!
Post by: cainam_nazier on June 16, 2002, 07:08:38
There is actually a good amount of information supporting this.  Also things like music can efftect the growth of plants, both for the good and bad.  Singing and talking to your plants also has been known to help.  It would not be a bad idea to look at your current situation.  How do you feel?  And try not to lie to yourself.  Figure out if anything is bothering you.  Even slightly, because some of the things that seem only to bother us a little are bother us more than we realize.  If and/or when you can rule out your personal emotions/energy look to the people around you.  Do you live with anyone?  How are they?  Had anyone new in the house?  Things like that.  Another persons emotions/energies can sometimes have a greater impact on your enviroment than you think.

It may sound kinda odd but if you really want to save it and maybe run an expirement for yourself try spending a little bit of time with it, each day like you would a pet.  Sit down for like 5 mins and water it, use a spray bottle on the leaves maybe, pending the kind of plant.  Pick some of the dead leaves off and misc. objects that maybe on it.  Check for bugs.  Move the soil around a little with your finger some, but not too much.

I know it sounds really silly but give it a try anyhow.  It may surprise you.

when the spirit is dying, so is the body. and by most accounts i have heard (and some accounts that i have experienced), plants have spirits. and when a plant is indoors, it isn't in its natural home. and believe me, when someone is in a place that they hate being in (ie calgary), no matter what conditions might be great, the spirit starts to "die". so it may need to be cheered up, as cainam says.

or maybe it is sick with something and that is why it is dying. does it have bugs attached to its roots that are sucking out all of its nutrients? are you sure the conditions are right for the kind of plants you have? try moving them near an open window that gets plenty of sunlight during the day. try finding a vein/layline of energy and putting it near that.

that's all i can think of for now, but i hope some of the suggestions you get help the plant.  Good luck and happy living.  :)

Hi Kakkarot it seems now that the leaves are getting better as are the other plants now that I have been focusing my attention onto them and chatting to them. I have also been putting a crystal a crystal at its base and it has also been improving now thanks very much:). It is facinating to know that plants have spirits as they do and that they do respond.

Do you know where the idea of 'tree-hugging' came from? Try hugging a really big old oak tree or something sometime, feel its energy and listen to it. The older they are, the more stories the flora has to tell. Plants and animals, in some ways, are more alive and aware than some humans are, and people need to start realizing and respecting that.

Hi Timeborg : )

What kind of plant is it, what are its light/water/nutrient needs, what is it planted in (is it outgrowing its pot.too small for its pot, adequate/inadequate drainage, poor/rich acid/alkeline soil), is it dusty, and what is it doing - (leaves turning yellow, leaves turning brown at the edges, brown spots on the leaves, is it wilting, is there mold or rust or bugs (scale/aphids/whatever   on it... etc...)?

I have a bit of a green thumb - I might be able to tell you how to solve whatever problem it has....

I would like to hear from others on the subject of Plants being affected by emotions, physical health or bad vibes from other people> Someone told me that if we have indoor plants and they seem to wilt or dry up even though all their conditions are being met that it might be a reflections of our own health(mental, emotional, physical)or the "bad"vibes of someone or something else being around. Have other people noticed this???
