there's supposed to be a hurricane possibly coming soon to the northeast

Hephaestus

A Hurricane practically desomated south Korea, so where the US got lucky, some Japanese Islands and south Korea got unlucky.

As for the Psychic, hurricanes as far as im aware arnt uncommon around this time, she's made a guess one would hit america, its a 50/50.
If the scales tip her way and she guessed right no doubt people would be marvelling at her *cough* psychic ability *cough*

General-Army

She said that the hurricane was going to hit New york but not too much damage, but hurricane Isabel is heading for us right now and its a category 5 so i dont see how its not going to be too much damage.

Squeek

You know what, I think she's right.

As General-Army said, H. Isabel is storming up the east coast.  It is expected to be here within the week (I think...)

My vacation spot is said to be severly destroyed...[V]  I hope the Outer Banks survive this storm.  Actually, more logically, I hope MY TOWN survives the storm!  I live an hour or two from the coast; close enough...

It's been stuggling between class 5 (150+ mph) and class 4.  It is obviously slowing down, but fast enough?  Most likely not.

I live much more inland than Squeek, and for the first time in my life people are actually preparing for a hurricane here in the appalachian mountains.

Seeing as how this is the Prophecy/Divination board, why don't I make a little prophecy? Or rather, back up previously-made predictions.. I believe that storms are going to be increasingly powerful over the next several years. Storms will get bigger and reach farther before dying out, and therefore leave more destruction in their wake. Why? Because I believe 'Planet X' is nearing, and this explains crazy weather and jet stream shifts along with mysteriously increasing solar activity and numerous other things scientists have a hard time accounting for.
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?

I live like 6 miles from the atlantic ocean, is that far enough?

Check out the Projected Path section.

You see this path?  That bright yellow area at DC? THAT'S ME.  Frik.

Isabel's making Fabian look like a scrawny little whimp!
Saw piccies of this big mother on the news last night moving towards the US east coast at about 13km/h. Satellite photo's show this thing so clearly, its HUGE!

A military "hurricane chaser" flew above it and took some readings yesterday. It is (well, was) the biggest one on record! Definitely a class 5! They measured winds around 350km/hour (218mph)
What did they call an F5 tornado in Twister?... "Finger of God!"

The one that hit South Korea had winds at only 200km/h. Bear in mind much of the damage in S Korea was due to the fact that everything there is built to a low budget. Still, I hope for the sake of the people on the east US coast that it either turns or dies out.

Actually I just saw the latest reports - its weakened, winds down to around 160kph.

Not that I want to worry anyone or anything...
James.

im not sure if this is true or if i should believe what i saw on the montell show, but the lady who is a psychic was on the show on new years day and she said that we were going to have a bad winter starting in febuary and sometime in August-October we are susposed to have a hurricane in the north east united states. i was wondering, did anyone watch that show or no? I recently heard that hurricane fabian missed us and was out to sea.
