astral projection--falling asleep

for the past three days, i hae tried astral projecting twice. in my past experiences, i have at least been able to reach the vibration stage. but in the two times i have tried, i have been blocked. i am pretty sure it is only because of the ending of the decade. how long do you think it will take before things settle down? right after the new year begins? or longer?
