Hello I'm New...

Hey...

I read a number of posts... and you all have really potent abilities.
Is there some way it could be developed? I can sometimes hear what people are going to say like 1 second later... or maybe their thoughts... but i never had auric vision, or clairvoyance, telekinesis or anything like that...

Could these skills be strengthened or something? does it grow with age or is it like "given", like a gift?

Also i keep getting this "urge" to get an Ouija board, i know theres a spirit in my house, because i was hearing something like "you want an ouija board" then i said in my mind "NO" and then the light went off and a ball dropped on the floor. A little help?

Sometimes i can see shapes of people in places.. like a transparent black silhouette but i usually dismiss it as my own eyes playing tricks.

ive mostly googled my way to related sites. books are good too. it all depends on what you want to develope.

important thing is to take to heart that you can do anything aslong as you dont harm yourself or others as what you do always will along the way comes back.

Everyone has some form of psychic ability which can be developed, it is just different for each person as to how much effort this development takes, and how far their skill can be developed.

No, i don't find it grows with age either, in fact many seem to have more of a gift in their youth and then grow out of it if they aren't really using it or being encouraged in that direction.  

Darkmoon said : "Sometimes i can see shapes of people in places.. like a transparent black silhouette but i usually dismiss it as my own eyes playing tricks."  This sounds like you already have some ability beginning to show itself.  That is great!  My advice, stop dismissing it as your eyes playing tricks.  The first key to developing such abilities is to acknowledge and be thankful for what you get.  Start a journal and record all the times you see something like this, along with any feelings or thoughts you get along with it.  This will help get you started.  

As for Ouija boards, please do not go down this track.  They are no good, and only attract the wrong type of energy/spirit to you.  While they look all fun and easy on the movies, they are really not worth your time and energy.  Be patient, and develop your own skills, or find a local medium who would be interested to come and communicate with the spirit in your home.  Trust me, you have no control over who you are dealing with  when you use a Ouija board as your method of communication.

Development = Practice

For example. Everyone knows how to walk. One foot in front of the other. However, it takes years of our lives to learn this simple balancing act. At a young age it is simply too overwhelming. Consider your mental abilities the same. You don't quite understand it, but you know it works, so just keep working until it's just one foot in front of the other.

Go ahead, try a ouiji board. Crazy stuff could happen. Just remember, if you don't want to play anymore, be strong and say it. Above all, be polite. It's all about the inner emotions. You are a member of the elite club we call humanity, use your power over the elements!

I can't add much to the above--psychic abilities increase with use.  

However, I have read that maybe 10 percent of the population has zero to negligible visualization abilities, which are essential to shamanic work.  This should not be a problem, since shamanism is only one of any number of different types of spiritual healing.

Oh, and I strongly advise against  messing around  with a ouija board, lest it mess around with you.

I agree wtih others here -- you're already operating effectively in the etheric.  You have just arranged somehow not to know what you really know.

It helps to understand why that works for you.  

The etheric world is a full and busy place.  Many  people block or limit their awareness so that they can operate effectively in the linear world.  

I would also recommend that you stay away from the Ouija board.  They're okay for some people, but since you already had a "no" response from yourself, follow it.  My experience is that Ouija channel is full of icky stuff.  Why not just go with better channels?

Tools are nice because when you're not using the tool, you can stay in the linear.  Keep in mind that, just like with carpentry, the tool changes the work.  "If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail"  or in the etheric world -- you tend to see nails everywhere.  Some nice tools to have as you build a kit can include angel cards, runes, pendulum, tarot (some decks better than others)   Some things will prove more appropriate for you than others.  For example, I can't touch tarot cards without things going badly, but other people do wonderful readings for me.  It's me, not the cards.  I can't use a pendulum without getting off on a weird channel.  Pendulums are WONDERFUL for most people.    

I just have a feeling that for you, one of the most effective tools might be automatic writing.  I don't actually feel like you NEED tools, but that instead it would be helpful as a way for you to compromise between the part of you that wants to move forward on your giftedness and the part of you that wants to resist.  Both sides of yourself have valid reasons.  One way to keep automatic writing "controlled" is to get special paper and special pens that you use only for that.   I have a little problem with things like writing checks and linear work because I didn't take that precaution.  If you want to begin to develop your gifts rather than just get information, instead of tradional automatic writing, you might just try "telling it as a story" and noticing when it's your gift working and when it's imagination.  My experience is that if you go this route it flows back and forth.  

A word about the spirit in your house.  It feels like there is more than one and they're kind of a range of characters.  At least one of them feels kind of icky.  Meaning no disrespect, but you might want to put some protection in place as you begin your explorations.  I feel like the "icky" thing is well within your capacity to handle, especially if you stay aware -- that it is more likely to act bigger and badder than it really is to con you so that it can draw from you before you get up to speed enough to make your own choices.  It's not a big concern for me or I wouldn't be telling you what I've said here.  It I could wave a magic wand for you, I would wish you could develop your skill set in a "safe" environment -- like a church where you feel good, or a benign and competent etheric practitioner -- but I feel that is unlikely for good reasons you hold private.
