Here's a bit of explaination behind Tisha's reply:

1) There is absolutely NOTHING to gaurantee whether the spirits you might make contact with through the ouija board are good or even honest.

2) Most people who use ouija boards have little to no knowledge of hot to deal with spirit entities, esp how to shield against possible negs.

3) With the last two points in mind, in a group situation you can never be sure that there isn't someone in the group that has questionable motives who is more likely to either attract negs, or assert their will over the others in the group and produce biased results. Even if the main operator of the board is experienced, it is still very much subject to the spiritual makup of the people who come in contact with it.

Ouija boards are probably the most hazzardous form of channeling.
I agree entirely with Tisha's suggestion of making the thing move by way of a swift frisbee motion out the nearest open window.

If it helps at all, I agree fully with both James and Tisha... stay away from that sort of divination.
If you really want to go that route use a pendulum with the board, at least you're accessing your own higher self that way and not just inviting any old neg who feels like it to come hang out in you.

I do not understand the difference between a ouja board and a pendulum. Why can you not access your higher self with a ouja board? Why can you not access less than honorable spirits with a pendulum?

Well, you can access good entities with a Ouija, but you generally don't get to pick who you talk to when you use one, you open yourself to whoever or whatever happens to be available, watching, or near.

I would think that a pendulum could be taken over by a neg, but just because anything is possible.

When I use the pendulum, it feels like an extension of myself, whereas with a Ouija you're specifically calling out to spirits or entities to answer your questions.
Perhaps it's as simple as the perception of accessing eterior or interior for answers.

I've asked some Elders their opinion on this, though, and I'll let you know what they have to say, if anything interesting beyond what the great minds of this place have to offer.

the ougie/ouija/psychic talking board, whatever you want to call it, really screwed me up for a long long time. i used it, eventually it told me it was going to kill people i love, i swore at it. it got really mad, it kept saying 666.. i thought it was all funny cause it got very mad and would move the peice really really fast. then scary stuff happened, i don't knwo if it was a couincidense, but it made me feal like i was depressed for a few months, and something flew across the room etc.. but i don't think those are relevent because the house was really old, and i think it was a ghost or watever. ougie boards are bad

I don't like ouija boards beacuse they are an invitation for spirits to talk to you, even when you are not using the board.  Most seem nice, but are evil.  Try to stay away from it, because too much involvement will make you go nuts.

Well I've always rather liked my ouija board and I tend to agree with Lilith "a tool is a tool". Considering it is just a board with numbers, letters and a few simple words why would using a planchette be evil while using a pendulum benign. My feeling is that it is the users epectations that call the various entities ... if someone believes there is a good chance of calling evil then they will ... if one honestly believes they are in control then they will be. Anyhow that's my 2 cents.

Ouija boards only open portals to negative dimensions.

When you have something negative like this the best thing to do is to bury it in the ground where it can do no harm and where the portal is sealed. Expose it to sunlight for a short time first. Like a couple seconds. Then throw some sage or other herbs on it before you put the dirt on it.

Don't burn things with negative energy. Burning only releases the negative energy.

Ouija boards are not tools. They are traps.

A gun is a tool also.  However, some people either do not know the consequences of this tool, or are just plain ignorant and kill.  i'm not saying anyone here would kill with thier ouija board, just that if you do not know the consequences, dont use this "tool."

I've talked to hundreds of people who have used these boards,and I've never heard anything good.

I went to a friend's place,and she had a board. It started off by telling her she would sell ten houses that week.
The it ended the session by going to the letter f and then the letter u.
She never used it after that first session.

When a portal is opened with a board, the things on the other side of the portal will steal bits of your energy as you use the board.
If a person uses a board long enough, the ouija gets a strong hold on that person,so the person will have a difficult time to get rid of their oujia board.

Perhaps the best question to ask here is WHY do you want to use a Ouija board?  Whatever you are seeking, whether it be cheap thrills or enlightenment or anything else, there is always a better way to get it than using a Ouija board.  If there is a better way, why settle for a second rate tool?

Ouija boards allow lower astral entities to come into our plane. This entities aren't really powerfull ; they should not be mistaken by demons which are High astral entities. They can still do some damage however the person's astral body can shield their attacks in almost full totallity. It still is not something to be played with.

Xelios, Thats the same thing that happened to Christian magic, He told me that he and a friend were  using it and after the session, it went to F than U, That would be referring to F*** you right? well anyways, i dont think im getting one thats for sure. my aunt and some others were playin with one and it said a woman would be dying of a poisonous gas in a few days, and it came true. She was in the car and fumes from the car came in and killed her. and than after a while they had a seance and they contacted the woman who died. she appeared and they spoke to her but the woman talked in a weird language and they all ran out of the room screamin. it was scary![:O]

I played Ouija-like-game for some time in kid. The first time i had contact with that i had 12-13 years and i din´t believe it when some friend of mine started to play it. While doing so i was always joking and saying that the game was stupid. My friends were  unlucky that day, they received some stupid answer (from the suppose-to-be-spirit). It was something like: RTz227. I was triumphant, and sayed that the game dind´t work (with such stupid answer)! When i get home half an hour latter, i turned on my pc to play a while and i noticed that the "best records"  table from the game i was playing contained the exact words RTz227 (well, not that one since i don´t remember but it was the same word in the Ouija game). Rtz227 was an inner record that comes with the game, no one in my house write it. After seeing that i shuted up my mouth...i was surprised (but not scared).


Some years later (now i believed in spirits), we were using an inverted glass in substitution for Oiuja pointer. We were using too, small pieces of paper with letters from A to Z, since we didn´t have Ouija table. The letters weere in a circular form, in a normal table. The glass was in the center of the table and our fingers in the top it. I don´t remember the answers that we get that time, but i remember that one of the papers started to follow the glass! The paper was at 1 cm of it (maybe it was statical electricity) and following the excepcionally faster glass. Strange!.

Last time was in the last year in Halloween. At night we started playing the game but we never received any answer. We were tired. We were so bored for waiting for so long that we asked "Please, if somebody is here, just give us a signal". The answer was imediatly: the plastic hand of a monster that we bult for the Halloween, as falled down from the arm! In the same instant! After the game we taked some pictures (digital cam) and we noticed later a typical unexplainable orb, but this one was biger than the normal...and green. These orbs are common to appear in photos and have no eexplanation. A group of investigators used (in a house) some special cams to capt these balls and they discovered that they are real and they have movement.


I know other true story (i contacted directly the people involved...they are friends) about a group of guys that were playing Ouija. One girl in the group asked "Can you tell the date of my death?". The answer was in instant: "Yes" and "Today". The group was scared. After the end of the game, they were returning to their homes, when the refered girl had an car accident and died!

SO, my advice is, althought nothing bad happened to me while playing the game...don´t play it!

Burn it or cut it up with metal cutters -- destroy it.  It opens the door for some clever nasties that can hang around you for a long time and interfere with your spiritual progress.  Like others here, I know of no good that has come from its use and quite a bit of harm, especially to the younger and less experienced people who get lost in the fascination of talking to what they beleive to be spirits.  

Tisha was absolutely right to give you such a strong warning.  There are many ways to experience the spiritual side of life.  These boards lead to the negative, lower astral planes and can only cause you confusion and even devastating spritual harm that can be difficult to undo.  

Find yourself and your experiences in other, safer ways.

Hey Christian, I thought like you and sadly learnt the hard way, my expirences make me want to throw up just thinking about it. It will all seem fun and exiting to start with until something iraversable happens and you will wish you had never ever, ever done it.
