This is some kind of a joke right? please tell me you were being sarcastic.
hehehehehe
Form what i've read, the philosophers stone and the elixir of life are different substances. I'm not saying i really completely believe they have a material existence, but in theory i thought they were different.
isn't the pilosopher stone a mushroom? I think is similar to magic mushrooms, but I'm not sure
People still don't see the symbols?[:O]
The Gold, the Immortality..
they are different euphoric.
but i think i've heard one reference to the elixir being made using the stone. i could easily be wrong about that though since it's just a vague notion of a memory ^_^ .

ok ok enough of this, go get ,or download "the book of power" there is one techniques, which says if you find that stone, and do some other staff, you will live at least 200 years.and there is also technique ,how to transmute metal. have fun [8D]
apparently some guy discovered the way to make the philosophers stone, it is really MonoAtomic gold, you theoretically can make anyting monoatomic, if you clicked the link above it
shows kilirian photography of the zynergy thing they made, it has some pretty interesting energy signatures
Both materials are spiritualized matter/materialized spirit. The steps for making them involve materials which are symbolic of mind, body, spirit, etc. Whether the recipes work or not, it is possible to figure them out with enough time to think through what they are trying to say.
Alchemy is a spiritualism in a labratory enviroment where you should be able to verify your progress trough the results. Since after a while you will begin to defy normal prosesses in chemistry wich was built upon the material aspect of alchemy.
The philosophers stone and the elexir of life is the result of the magus opus (Great work) in alchemy . From the sources i read it seems when the great work is completed the ingredients will separate into a solid state(the stone) and a liquid component (the elixir).
While theres probably some experiments containing mercury in alchemy , its not an art in ingesting poisenous material . It is about getting to the spiritual states inherent in matter and separete it ,refine it , and either build on the previus results in a bigger experiment or get it in a form that is nonpoisenous.
Just like magic it is rich on symbols the diffrence is where mages cast spells based on their understanding of the spiritual and symbols
,alchemist perform a experiment. Mercury is also a symbol in alchemy wich can mean the fluidness of spirit. So its not given that the magus opus needs actual Mercury (Hg!).
But off course i havent read any books of how to perform such a work so i wouldnt know what is required . Only that the spiritual understanding gotta be far greater than physical nessecitys. Its a popular alchemy saying that "You cannot make gold without having gold" , i guess the latter is a refrence to whats inside you.
Another Alchemy experiment i read about , is about separeting water into 7(i think or was it 9) diffrent states of water. where 1 is claimed eat on metals! And still be H2O if analyzed.
I really know very little about alchemy, so I don't know the details of what mercury means or what sulphur is, etc etc.. But, the Philosopher's Stone is used to turn lead into gold, which is all symbolic of the Great Work, of turning our normal, mundane consciousness into a higher, divine consciousness. It's synonymous with Knowledge and Converstaion of the HGA, finding Christ, reaching your Higher Self, etc etc.. As far as I know, alchemy has very little (if anything) to do with actual chemical compounds - it was recorded and communicated in this language so as to avoid persecution from the early Christian church. So basically, alchemy is about spiritual and metaphysical processes - not physical, material ones.
Paul
Yes your correct , in that alchemys most important aspect is spiritual and metaphysical processes , but its tempering with physical substances aswell. Its for verification purposes.
And to help you transform yourself also with trinkets and potions (to speed up the inner transformation).
Off course alchemy without experiments is called inner alchemy. And is only with the spiritual/metaph. aspect.
Here one can find plenty about both True alchemy and inner alchemy

Im starting to think that alchemy is really cool, I'm going to do some research and try and find a nice quick way to become a god.

Ive heard rumors of a mercury based elixer that can turn any metal into gold, and when ingested turns the drinker into an immortal
